Overview

ISB is a non-profit community hub in Catonsville, Maryland that serves the Muslim community through religious, educational, social, and outreach programs. Its core offerings include daily prayers, sermons, the Al-Rahmah School (K-12), Quran classes, a nursery, a Quran academy, and youth programs, along with a free health clinic for the uninsured, Zakat services, financial aid, counseling, funeral and marriage services, and interfaith and government engagement. It operates a food pantry and cafe and maintains a strong online presence as the TikTok masjid, sharing daily life of American Muslims. The organization is governed by a democratically elected 9-member council funded by donations and membership fees. ISB’s goal is to preserve Islamic heritage, support families, and strengthen the wider community while offering services that meet religious and social needs.
