JWX named an Innovator in Frost & Sullivan's 2026 Online Video platform benchmark.

JWX named an Innovator in Frost & Sullivan's 2026 Online Video platform benchmark. September 10, 2026 11:13 ET | Source: JWX NEW YORK, USA, Sept. 10, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Independent analysis validates JWX's position as a streaming infrastructure and monetization platform spanning Live, VOD, SSAI, and DRM. JWX today announced it has been named an Innovator in Frost & Sullivan's Frost Radar: Online Video Platforms for Media and Entertainment, 2026, independent recognition of the company's expanding position as a streaming delivery and monetization platform for the streaming economy. Frost & Sullivan selected JWX as one of 14 companies from a field of 35 to 40 qualified, operator-grade platforms evaluated for the report. JWX received an Innovation score of 4.10, placing it among a group Frost & Sullivan says combines strong intellectual property, advanced delivery capabilities and monetization innovation. The recognition comes as streaming platforms take on a much larger role in media economics. Frost & Sullivan finds that the market is moving beyond basic video delivery toward platforms that bring together content, delivery infrastructure, data and monetization. As streaming businesses focus increasingly on profitability, the firm says competitive advantage is shifting toward platforms that can operate at scale while improving yield and simplifying increasingly complex workflows. That evolution reflects the streaming delivery capabilities JWX has built across four core areas: live streaming, video-on-demand (VOD), server-side ad insertion (SSAI) and digital rights management (DRM). Together, these capabilities give media companies a modular foundation for running streaming businesses without building and operating every layer themselves. Customers can deploy the capabilities they need within existing technology environments rather than make a monolithic platform decision or undertake a wholesale rebuild. "Frost & Sullivan's recognition validates something we have been building toward deliberately," said David LaPalomento, General Manager of Streaming/CTV at JWX. "Media companies don't need another closed video platform. They need infrastructure that fits into what they already have, solves the parts they don't want to build themselves, and helps them make more money from every stream. That is where we believe this market is going, and it is where we have built JWX to compete." Frost & Sullivan's assessment points to capabilities built to grow revenue, not just move video. The firm highlights JWX's audience-level analytics, which track dozens of behavioral attributes per stream through an in-house, privacy-compliant data stack drawing on billions of monthly first-party signals, and its multicodec delivery, including AI-driven codec selection that lowers encoding and delivery costs. The report also cites JWX's role serving FAST and hybrid AVOD operators, and points to a revenue optimization architecture, anchored by Just-in-Time Ad Insertion, that treats monetization as core to the platform rather than a bolt-on. JWX also gives ops teams real-time visibility into every live stream as it runs, so issues get caught before they cost viewers. The platform supports streaming across web, mobile and at least 10 connected TV platforms. JWX operates that delivery infrastructure at a significant scale. The company supports approximately 15 billion streams per month and 160 million viewers per day, with roughly 90 broadcasters under active management. Its platform handles more than 5 billion SSAI ad impressions per month, within a broader monetization footprint of approximately 18 billion monthly ad impressions. Frost & Sullivan's independent benchmarking places that scale among the largest operator-grade streaming and monetization platforms in the market today. Infrastructure Built to Monetize Monetization is increasingly central to that infrastructure position. Frost & Sullivan identifies JWX's revenue optimization architecture as a key differentiator, specifically pointing to the way the company has developed SSAI beyond basic ad delivery. JWX uses SSAI as an intelligence and control layer across live and VOD environments, supporting ad decisioning, differentiated ad loads, sponsorship logic and other capabilities designed to improve the economics of each stream. That approach reflects a broader shift identified by Frost & Sullivan. The analyst firm finds that monetization has become a central differentiator in streaming, with leading platforms increasingly expected to optimize advertising yield in real time rather than simply deliver ads. At the same time, buyers increasingly expect platforms to demonstrate results through measures such as fill rates, revenue uplift and operating efficiency. JWX's Just-in-Time Ad Insertion technology is one example. Frost & Sullivan reports that the technology delivered approximately a 50% reduction in SSAI infrastructure costs and a 10% increase in ads per viewer in a major AVOD deployment. Another AVOD customer saw render rates increase from approximately 30-45% to more than 90%. "Streaming infrastructure used to be judged primarily on whether it could reliably get video from one place to another," LaPalomento said. "That bar has changed. Reliability is table stakes. The infrastructure now has to help the business perform. For JWX, delivery and monetization belong in the same conversation." JWX is extending that approach through a composable architecture designed to work with, rather than replace, customers' existing technology investments. The company's streaming strategy encompasses VOD, live streaming, SSAI and DRM, while its longer-term monetization strategy is focused on helping media companies improve yield from infrastructure already in place. "JWX has built the breadth and scale to operate as core streaming infrastructure for media companies, with capabilities spanning content ingestion and processing through delivery, protection and monetization. What differentiates JWX is how tightly monetization is integrated into that infrastructure, particularly its approach to SSAI and revenue optimization across live and on-demand video. As the market moves toward broader, more integrated platforms, that combination positions JWX well for the next phase of streaming," noted Riana Barnard, Industry Analyst, Digital Content Services, Frost & Sullivan. The recognition comes amid significant change in the streaming technology market. Frost & Sullivan finds that the sector is consolidating around fewer, broader platforms and that integration capability is becoming as important as individual product capabilities. The firm projects the broader market will reach approximately $20.1 billion by 2033, driven in part by hybrid monetization models, the continued migration of live sports and premium content to streaming, and demand for more integrated platform delivery. JWX's mission is to provide technology that empowers media businesses to connect their content with consumers across every platform. We help publishers transform content into multi-format experiences, reach audiences wherever attention moves, and strengthen monetization in a fragmented landscape. As part of the broader ecosystem, JWX also supports streaming companies and advertisers with solutions built for how modern media is distributed and consumed. Learn more at www.jwx.com. Attachments

JWX launches JWX Content Hub for publisher video distribution and monetization.

JWX launches JWX Content Hub for publisher video distribution and monetization. 25/08/2026 JWX has launched JWX Content Hub, a platform for publisher video that combines content transformation, social distribution, audience engagement, and monetization in a single system with a centralized content library. The platform converts horizontal video to vertical format using AI, clips long-form video into social-ready short-form content, turns articles into video, and translates and dubs content into additional languages. Publishers can distribute automatically across social platforms including Meta, YouTube, and TikTok, as well as syndication partners, while managing direct and programmatic ad revenue through a single dashboard. The search era is over, and that changes everything about how a publisher operates, says John Nardone, CEO, JWX. For 20 years, the deal was simple: publish great content and search sends the audience. Stacks grew one challenge at a time, with each tool solving one narrow problem. The problem publishers face is no longer narrow. They earn their audience everywhere it lives, and that takes a fundamentally different operating platform. We built JWX Content Hub for the publishers aggressively leaning into that future. JWX has become an important partner in how we distribute content to McClatchy audiences, says Melissa Angle, Senior Director of Audience, McClatchy Media. The True Anthem automation tool helps us maintain a consistent social presence, identify and recirculate stories and videos with strong audience potential and drive meaningful traffic while giving our teams more ways to connect content with audiences across platforms. JWX Content Hub integrates technology from two 2026 acquisitions: AugieX Labs, acquired in January for AI content transformation, and True Anthem, acquired in March for AI-enabled social distribution. These join the video player and monetization infrastructure JWX has operated across the open web following the JW Player and Connatix merger. 05/01/2027. JWX launches Content Hub, first unified platform for publishers navigating post-search era

JWX has launched JWX Content Hub, described as the industry's first unified platform for publisher video in what the company calls the post-search era. The platform combines content transformation, social distribution, audience engagement, and video monetisation through a centralised content library. The launch addresses publishers' declining search traffic, with research showing 68% of Google searches now end without a click. Publishers forecast search engine traffic will drop over 40% in the next three years. JWX Content Hub features AI-powered tools that convert horizontal video to vertical format, clip long-form content into social-ready shorts, and translate content into additional languages. The platform integrates with Meta, YouTube, TikTok, and syndication partners. CEO John Nardone said the search era has ended, requiring publishers to reach audiences across multiple platforms rather than relying on traditional search engine traffic.

JWX launches JWX Content Hub, the industry's first unified platform for the post-search era.

JWX launches JWX Content Hub, the industry's first unified platform for the post-search era. FinanceWire Aug. 20, 2026, 08:38 AM New York, USA, August 20th, 2026, FinanceWire Single solution handles content transformation, social distribution, audience engagement and video monetization, growing revenue amid traffic declines. JWX, the technology company connecting premium content, engaged consumers, and the advertisers who reach them, today launched JWX Content Hub, the industry's first unified platform built exclusively for publisher video. JWX Content Hub provides publishers with the tools they need to transform content into the formats each channel demands, distribute automatically across social and syndication partners, engage audiences on pages they own, and monetize everywhere their content travels. All of this is done through a centralized content library and a single view of financial performance. The launch comes as publishers adapt to rapid, cascading changes driven by AI adoption. Research shows that 68% of Google searches now end without a click, while publishers are forecasting that traffic from search engines will decline by more than 40% over the next three years. Audience attention has shifted to social platforms that demand unique video formats, posting cadence, and workflows. JWX Content Hub turns these major social platforms into powerful, traffic-driving engines for publishers, utilizing content assets they already own. "The search era is over, and that changes everything about how a publisher operates," said John Nardone, CEO of JWX. "For 20 years, the deal was simple: publish great content and search sends the audience. Stacks grew one challenge at a time, with each tool solving one narrow problem. The problem publishers face is no longer narrow. They earn their audience everywhere it lives, and that takes a fundamentally different operating platform. We built JWX Content Hub for the publishers aggressively leaning into that future." JWX Content Hub lets publishers control, track, and optimize every piece of content from one centralized, intelligent video hub that provides analytics for every video. Audience and editorial teams gain access to seamless delivery across the open web, Meta, YouTube, TikTok, and global syndication partners. Meanwhile, monetization and ad ops teams can leverage one video player to maximize ad potential revenue, managing their direct and programmatic demand in one dashboard. At the core of JWX Content Hub's capabilities is a unified content library: one home for every video, every format, every version, and every team, with every derivative linked back to its original. That library then becomes publishers' growth engine. The platform converts horizontal video to vertical with AI keeping the speaker in frame, clips long-form video into social-ready shorts, turns articles into video with expert editors in the loop, and translates and dubs content into additional languages. JWX Content Hub offers multiple revenue-generating streams. Automated article distribution drives referral traffic back to publisher-owned pages, where the integrated JWX Player and ad engine monetize every view. Social video receives potential revenue directly on platforms including Facebook and YouTube. Publishers also have the opportunity to extend their library to streaming and syndication channels as those integrations expand. "JWX has become an important partner in how we distribute content to McClatchy audiences," said Melissa Angle, Sr. Director, Audience, McClatchy Media. "The True Anthem automation tool helps us maintain a consistent social presence, identify and recirculate stories and videos with strong audience potential and drive meaningful traffic while giving our teams more ways to connect content with audiences across platforms." JWX Content Hub integrates technology from two 2026 acquisitions: AugieX Labs, acquired in January for AI content transformation, and True Anthem, acquired in March for AI-enabled social distribution. These join the video player and monetization infrastructure JWX has operated across the open web for two decades, following the completed platform unification from the JW Player and Connatix merger. JWX's mission is to provide technology that empowers media businesses to connect their content with consumers across every platform. SASpine help publishers transform content into multi-format experiences, reach audiences wherever attention moves, and strengthen monetization in a fragmented landscape. No more loud ads: JWX launches loudness normalization for streaming.

No more loud ads: JWX launches loudness normalization for streaming. By Dylan Owen, VP Streaming & CTV Solutions, JWX On July 1, California became the first state to make it illegal for streaming services to play ads louder than the content around them. Loud ad breaks have been one of the most persistent viewer complaints in ad-supported streaming for years; they are now a compliance obligation for any service reaching the country's largest market. The New Rules of Loudness California's SB 576 prohibits streaming services from transmitting ads at a louder volume than the content they accompany, extending into streaming the standard broadcast and cable have followed under the federal CALM Act since 2010. It applies to any ad-supported service reaching viewers in California, on any device. The law specifies exactly how compliance is measured: loudness is assessed in LUFS, the same industry-standard unit that underpins the CALM Act's broadcast rules. And its reach extends well beyond state lines: California is too large a market for any streamer to carve out, and states like Illinois are already following with their own versions. In practice, this is a national standard arriving state by state. So the question for every ad-supported streamer is simple: can you guarantee that every ad in every break sits at the same level as your content? For most, the honest answer is no. Ads arrive from a long chain of buyers, exchanges, and ad servers, each spot mastered to a different loudness target - and by the time they reach the viewer's device, there is no opportunity left to correct them. Your library can be perfect and your ad breaks can still break the law. How JWX Closes the Gap For JWX customers, the building blocks were already in the stack. Ad loudness normalization is built directly into its server-side ad insertion (SSAI). Because JWX stitches ads server-side, every single spot passes through its infrastructure before it reaches the viewer - which makes SSAI the only point in the delivery chain where loudness can be guaranteed rather than hoped for. Client-side insertion hands the ad to the device exactly as it arrived. JWX Studio brought those capabilities together into a single workflow. Streamers set their target loudness levels once, in LUFS, to the exact specification of the legislation, and JWX aligns everything to that target: the content and the ads, across both VOD and FAST channels. There is no dependency on advertisers mastering their spots correctly, no reliance on loudness metadata surviving the programmatic supply chain, no additional content mastering workflows and no device-level fixes downstream. You define the number; the stream that leaves meets it. The workflow is live in production today, and because it is part of the JWX streaming stack any current or future customer can switch it on without re-engineering their ad path or content pipeline. Compliance Is the Floor, Not the Ceiling It would be easy to frame this purely as a legal checkbox. That undersells it. Loud ads are one of the most cited frustrations in ad-supported streaming, and every jarring volume spike is a micro-incentive to mute, skip, or open a competitor's app. Ads that sit at the same level as the content get watched rather than muted, which is better for viewers, better for advertisers, and better for the yield on every impression. The streamers who treat SB 576 as a floor will do the minimum. The ones who treat consistent loudness as part of the viewing experience will quietly earn more attention per ad break. What This Means for You If you stream ad-supported content to viewers in the US, this legislation already applies to you, and the map is only going to fill in from here. If you are a JWX customer, the path to compliance is short: set your target levels, and the stack does the rest. If you are not yet a JWX customer and July 1 arrived faster than your roadmap did, JWX Studio should talk. The loud ad era is over. Its customers are ready for the quiet one.
