Overview

Joliet Junior College is a public community college serving students in Chicago's southwest suburbs through associate degrees, certificates and courses for transfer to four-year universities. Its programs also prepare learners for employment, while adult education, literacy classes and workforce training support people returning to school or changing careers. Students study across campuses and education centers in Joliet, Romeoville and Morris, with advising that helps them choose courses and use transfer agreements to continue toward a bachelor's degree. Founded in 1901 as a postgraduate high school program, the college is based in Joliet, Illinois.
