Ross McElroy sets $5 institutional floor at Apollo Silver with 125M oz US deposit

Apollo Silver has raised $27.5 million in a private placement led by Eric Sprott and Jupiter Asset Management at $5.00 per unit, with the company's board and management participating at the same price. The financing was upsized to accommodate insider participation. The company, led by Ross McElroy—who recently closed a C$1.14 billion sale of Fission Uranium—controls 125 million ounces of measured and indicated silver at its Calico Project in San Bernardino County, California. The deposit features a 0.8:1 strip ratio, significantly lower than typical open-pit operations. Apollo Silver plans to launch a 4,500-metre drill programme in mid-Q1 2026 focused on engineering requirements for a bankable feasibility study. The company also acquired 100% interest in the Athena claims at Langtry in December, consolidating ownership of the entire Calico district.
