Juvare partners with Healthcare Association of Hawaii to power statewide healthcare capacity visibility.

Juvare partners with Healthcare Association of Hawaii to power statewide healthcare capacity visibility. ATLANTA, Aug. 27, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Hospital bed capacity visibility is the backbone of coordinated care, and nowhere is that more true than across an island chain where patient movement options are limited and every bed counts. Juvare is stepping up to meet that challenge in Hawaii. Through a new partnership with Laulima Data Alliance, a subsidiary of the Healthcare Association of Hawaii (HAH), Juvare will deploy its proven EMResource(R) platform to power Hawaii's statewide hospital bed capacity system, giving hospitals, behavioral health facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and state EMS agencies near real-time visibility into bed availability across the islands. The new system ensures continuity for Hawaii's 25 acute care hospitals, which have relied on a continuously available statewide bed capacity platform since November 2023, while expanding coverage to behavioral health facilities and skilled nursing facilities for the first time. Automated data refreshes as frequently as every 15 minutes, paired with configurable dashboards and alerting, will keep hospitals, coalitions, and the state aligned on a single operating picture. This partnership builds on more than two decades of Juvare's presence in Hawaii. Juvare's WebEOC, CORES RMS, and EMTrack platforms have supported the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency since 2006, the Hawaii Department of Health since 2012, and the Healthcare Association of Hawaii itself since 2004, making this expansion a natural extension of an already deeply integrated ecosystem rather than a system built from scratch. "Hawaii's geography makes healthcare capacity coordination uniquely challenging, and uniquely important," said Andy Van Pelt, Vice President of Healthcare at Juvare. "Building on our long-standing relationships with the Healthcare Association of Hawaii, we're proud to bring near real-time bed visibility to acute care, behavioral health, and skilled nursing facilities across the state, all within a single, connected platform." With EMResource as the connective layer between hospitals, coalitions, and the state, Juvare is committed to helping Laulima Data Alliance turn statewide situational awareness into faster, more informed decisions for the patients who need it most. "Juvare's track record in Hawaii, and their ability to bring our existing acute care hospitals onto a new platform without disrupting their reporting workflows, made this an easy decision," said Hilton Ratheal, President and CEO of the Healthcare Association of Hawaii. "As we plan to expand visibility into behavioral health and skilled nursing capacity for the first time, we needed a partner who already understood our hospitals, our stakeholders, and our data. Juvare checked every box." About Juvare Juvare is a global leader in operational resilience and critical incident management, trusted by organizations across public, private, and healthcare sectors to navigate complexity, manage disruption, and maintain continuity - every day and in moments of crisis.
