Overview
Kapta Space develops spaceborne radar systems for LEO satellites using metasurface antennas to create electronically steerable arrays, enabling high-resolution Earth observation for defense and commercial customers. Its on-orbit sensors perform SAR, InSAR, and GMTI, delivering imagery regardless of weather or daylight. It differentiates by using metasurface ESAs to reduce cost, complexity, and power versus traditional AESAs, led by Echodyne veterans with early DoD funding and seed rounds to accelerate demonstrations.
