Founded in 2014 by former teachers, KickUp helps school districts integrate three traditionally siloed areas: professional learning management, instructional coaching, and teacher evaluation. The platform addresses a persistent challenge in K-12 education, where districts spend billions annually on professional development with little evidence of classroom impact. KickUp operates in more than 35 states, serving districts ranging from small rural systems to large urban ones. This autumn, the company will launch an intelligence tool using its proprietary dataset to help instructional leaders deliver more efficient feedback to teachers. The investment comes as educator training faces budget pressures, making effective professional development spend increasingly critical.
