Kingdom, a New York-based functional ingredients company, has published a second peer-reviewed study on its Superculture Pet Immune ingredient in the journal Pets, demonstrating significant improvements in canine stool quality within 28 days. The placebo-controlled study found that 50% of dogs in the treatment group showed improved stool consistency, compared to just 10% in the placebo group, whilst maintaining normal gut health markers. The research builds on Kingdom's first peer-reviewed publication, which showed benefits for itching, skin and coat health, and gut microbiome diversity. Kingdom claims Superculture Pet Immune is now the only postbiotic ingredient with published clinical evidence supporting multiple pet health outcomes. The ingredient is already incorporated into products from brands including Dinovite, Native Pet and Woof.
