Klim is an agritech platform that scales regenerative agriculture for farmers and provides a way for companies to invest in sustainable farming. For farmers, it offers a free toolkit with education, financial support, and documentation, and it collects farm data to power a model that combines satellite data, soil samples, and on-site information to measure soil health and carbon sequestration. Farmers can then sell verified carbon credits on Klim’s marketplace, creating a new revenue stream. For corporate clients, Klim helps reduce Scope 3 emissions through insetting or offsets and takes commissions on credit sales, connecting buyers with regenerative projects across Europe.

EU: Klim launches 'digital companion' to take guesswork out of regenerative agriculture for UK farmers. Klim, a technology company providing the operating system for regenerative agriculture, has launched its 'digital companion' tool to take the guesswork out of regenerative agriculture practices for UK farmers and F&B businesses. The tool will boost farmer engagement, and reduce the risks of weak data and lack of on-the-ground progress for F&B companies cost effectively and across global supply chains. Support for regenerative agriculture is rising with major F&B companies, such as Nestle, Danone and PepsiCo, driving these practices in their supply chains. But farmers have lacked a digital solution that can effectively support them across different regenerative agriculture practices, and help them mitigate the risks of short-term yield loss and financial uncertainty. Existing tools for farmers have focused on siloed areas, and have required huge duplications of data input, leaving farmers without a comprehensive view of their farm or predicted incentive payouts. "Most services currently available to farmers are fragmented, focusing only on narrow phases like fertilizer optimization," says Rob Gerlach, Co-Founder and CEO of Klim. "This wastes so much of a farmer's time, and makes the process of transitioning to regenerative farming unnecessarily complex, difficult and expensive." Klim's digital companion provides personalized, field-level recommendations that guide farmers through choosing practices, and tracking their impact - and you only need to input farm data once a year. The platform combines goal-setting, tailored guidance, and feedback in one place, making regenerative adoption both practical and engaging. "A strong example of this is our Crop Mix Composer tool," continues Rob. "By inputting their goals and farm details, farmers get instant access to tailored crop mix plans specific to their fields, including advice on the best seed mix for cover crops and how to achieve optimal nutritional values. This eliminates the need for a 'trial and error' approach, giving farmers clarity and confidence in their plan."
Klim, a German AgriTech startup, raised €22 million in a Series A round led by BNP Paribas, with investments from Earthshot Ventures, Rabobank, and Agfunder. The funds will support Klim's expansion to the UK, platform enhancement, and new financial services for farmers transitioning to regenerative practices. Over 3,500 farmers use Klim's platform, managing 700,000 hectares, or 5% of Germany's farmland. Major clients like Nestlé use Klim's solutions for emissions reduction and supply chain resilience.
