Overview
La Scuola International School runs private PK-8 programs that blend Italian language immersion with an IB curriculum using a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach. It uses inquiry- and project-based learning, starting with about 80% Italian instruction in the early grades and gradually moving toward English as students mature, aligned with IB’s PYP/MYP frameworks. Differentiators include its unique combination of Reggio Emilia pedagogy, IB accreditation, Italian-language immersion, and campuses across the Bay Area with a forthcoming Milan campus. The goal is to raise globally minded, bilingual students who connect Italian heritage with international perspectives and are prepared for continued IB study and responsible citizenship.
