Larkin Street Youth Services provides shelter, housing, outreach, health and wellness, education, and employment programs for youths aged 12–24 who are homeless or at risk in San Francisco. Its work includes outreach to connect youths to services, emergency shelter, transitional and supportive housing, health care and mental health support, and education plus job preparation. It differentiates itself as the largest nonprofit provider of services for homeless youth in San Francisco and reports that about three-quarters of program graduates leave street life. The goal is to help young people move from homelessness to stable, independent living and improve long-term life outcomes.
