Leadership Public Schools (LPS) operates a network of three urban charter high schools in Hayward, Oakland, and Richmond, CA, focused on helping underserved students prepare for college and become community leaders. Its work centers on delivering a strong high school education with targeted supports to students who enter high school below grade level, and on using technology to empower teachers and students to improve learning. LPS differentiates itself through its documented, replicable practices designed to accelerate achievement for students who start behind, and by leveraging technology to drive instruction and administration across a small, cohesive network. The goal is to expand access to college-ready outcomes for students in underserved communities and to develop scalable approaches that address broader education challenges.
