Legacy Community Health has opened the Legacy Pasadena Southmore Clinic, a 37,000-square-foot facility in Pasadena, Texas, where nearly one in three residents is uninsured. The clinic was funded through Houston Methodist's $50 million partnership supporting new health facilities in Pasadena and Acres Homes. The two-storey clinic offers adult and paediatric primary care, OB/GYN services, behavioural health, X-ray imaging and wraparound support services, with dental and pharmacy services launching in late summer 2026. The facility employs over 50 staff members, expanding to more than 80 when additional services launch. The clinic will house the Houston Methodist Family Medicine Residency Program and accepts Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance, with a sliding-scale fee structure ensuring no one is turned away due to inability to pay.
