Linkup, founded by former executives from Spotify, Lyft and Carrefour, has raised $10 million in seed funding led by Gradient to build what it calls the "Google Search for AI". Elaia, Leblon Capital and Weekend Fund participated, alongside existing investors including Seedcamp and Axeleo Capital. Business angels such as Arthur Mensch from Mistral AI also backed the round. The startup has developed an API that enables AI systems to search and retrieve real-time information online. Its technology extracts granular data from web content to create an index specifically adapted to how AI processes information. Linkup has partnered with news publishers to access reliable, verified sources amidst growing concerns about misinformation and AI-generated fake content. The company previously raised €3 million in November 2024 and plans to expand teams in New York, San Francisco and Paris.
