Littelfuse/C&K launches TSC Toggle Safety Covers to prevent accidental activation.

Littelfuse/C&K launches TSC Toggle Safety Covers to prevent accidental activation. August 18, 2026 Littelfuse, an industrial technology manufacturing company shaping solutions for the safe and efficient transfer of electrical energy, announced the launch of the Littelfuse/C&K TSC Series Toggle Safety Covers, designed to prevent accidental activation of toggle switches in critical control systems. Accidental switch actuation can lead to unintended equipment operation, safety hazards, and costly downtime. The TSC Series addresses these challenges with a precision spring-loaded mechanism that physically guards toggle switches while enabling intentional, one-handed operation. Engineered for demanding environments, the covers combine rugged construction with a clean, professional appearance suited for modern control panels. The TSC Series features a durable stainless-steel faceplate with a glossy black finish and an ABS cover available in multiple colors for clear visual identification of critical functions. Designed as a simple, drop-in upgrade, the covers are compatible with standard 12.0 mm (15/32") mounting holes and accommodate switch lever heights up to 25 mm, making them suitable for a wide range of existing toggle switch designs. "The TSC Series was developed to address a common but often overlooked risk in control system design - unintended switch activation," said Jesus Santos, Global Product Manager at Littelfuse. "By combining a reliable spring-loaded mechanism with rugged materials and intuitive operation, these covers help engineers improve system safety without adding complexity to their designs." Key features and benefits. * Prevents accidental actuation: Spring-loaded protective cover reduces risk of unintended switching * Simple, intuitive operation: Easy one-handed opening and closing for intentional use * Rugged construction: Stainless-steel faceplate and durable ABS cover for long-term reliability * Visual identification: Multiple color options support clear labeling of critical functions * Drop-in compatibility: Fits standard panel cutouts (12.0 mm / 15/32") for easy retrofitting * Designed for harsh environments: Suitable for demanding industrial, transportation, and outdoor applications The TSC Series Toggle Safety Covers are well-suited for applications where safety, reliability, and operational clarity are critical. These include industrial control equipment, commercial and off-road vehicles, marine systems, aerospace platforms, and military equipment, where preventing unintended actuation is essential to maintaining safe and reliable operation. By combining mechanical protection with ease of use and design flexibility, the TSC Series provides engineers with a practical solution for enhancing control system safety without redesigning existing hardware. FAQs: TSC Series Toggle Safety Covers. What problem do TSC Series safety covers solve? They prevent accidental activation of toggle switches, which can lead to equipment damage, safety hazards, or system downtime. The spring-loaded cover ensures switches are only actuated intentionally. How easy are the covers to use in operation? The covers are designed for simple, one-handed opening and closing. This allows quick access while still maintaining protection against unintended actuation. Are these covers compatible with existing toggle switches? Yes. They are designed to fit standard 12.0 mm (15/32") mounting holes and support switch lever heights up to 25 mm, making them suitable for many existing designs. What environments are the TSC Series designed for? They are built for harsh and demanding environments, including industrial systems, transportation, marine, aerospace, and military applications. Do the covers support visual identification of switches? Yes. Multiple color options are available, allowing engineers to visually distinguish critical functions and improve operator awareness. What materials are used in the TSC Series? The covers use a durable ABS housing paired with a stainless-steel faceplate, providing both mechanical strength and long-term reliability.
