LivaNova's PolySync programming achieves 84.5% response rate in obstructive sleep apnoea study

LivaNova has announced that its PolySync programming algorithm achieved an 84.5% cumulative response rate in patients with moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea treated with proximal hypoglossal nerve stimulation. The findings were presented at SLEEP 2026 by lead author Alan Schwartz. The results build on LivaNova's OSPREY trial, which reported a 65% responder rate after 12 months. In the PolySync substudy, patients who initially did not respond underwent reprogramming using simultaneous-contact stimulation, converting most into responders and significantly improving outcomes. The approach was well tolerated with no serious adverse events. PolySync will be available with LivaNova's commercial product. The company is preparing its next-generation obstructive sleep apnea device for FDA submission in the second half of 2026, featuring MRI compatibility and rechargeable battery technology.

LivaNova posts 13% organic revenue growth in Q3, driven by cardiopulmonary surge and epilepsy gains

LivaNova reported 13% organic revenue growth in Q3 2025, driven by strong performance in cardiopulmonary and epilepsy businesses. The cardiopulmonary segment generated $203 million in revenue, up 16% year-over-year, with heart-lung machine revenue growing over 20%. The company saw accelerated placements of its Essenz heart-lung machines, with most installations in developed markets. LivaNova launched Essenz in China, its second-largest market, in August, with positive early feedback. However, expansion remains constrained by third-party component supply despite progressing manufacturing capacity plans. LivaNova unveiled a refreshed brand identity and new strategic framework, which will be detailed at its investor day on 12 November. The company is focusing on near-term performance whilst investing in core businesses and developing programmes for obstructive sleep apnoea.

LivaNova beats Q1 expectations with $362.3M revenue but shares slip 2% on cautious guidance
