Why has Lovisa in Wycombe's Eden Centre suddenly closed? 11th August The reason behind the sudden closure of Lovisa at High Wycombe's Eden Shopping Centre has been revealed. The fashion jewellery retailer's unit has been boarded up in recent days, prompting speculation online that the store had closed permanently. However, Eden Centre has confirmed to the Bucks Free Press that Lovisa is temporarily closed for refurbishment and is expected to return once renovation work is completed. Lovisa, located on Newland Street within the shopping centre, specialises in fashion jewellery and accessories, including earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings and piercing services. The Australian-founded chain opened its first store in 2010 and has operated from the Eden Centre for several years, becoming a familiar presence for shoppers in High Wycombe. Signs displayed on the store frontage state "Coming Soon" and "Recruiting Now", suggesting preparations are underway ahead of its reopening.
Lovisa opens new concept store at Glasgow Fort. July 29, 2026 Global jewellery and accessories retailer Lovisa has opened a new store at Glasgow Fort on Wednesday, bringing its trend-led collections to shoppers just in time for summer. The new store is located between Specsavers and FORTY and marks Lovisa's latest opening in its new retail format. Shoppers can browse Lovisa's full range of jewellery and accessories for adults and children, including earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches and hair accessories, alongside children's coin purses and other playful pieces. With summer in full swing, the store is well placed for anyone looking to complete a festival outfit, pick up holiday accessories or refresh their everyday look, including the new men's watch collection which launched on Tuesday 28th July. The new store also features a dedicated piercing area, offering a wide range of earrings, including 9ct gold, 24k plated and silver-plated styles. Children's piercings are also available, with fun designs including unicorns, red love hearts and plenty of sparkle. To mark the opening, the first 100 customers through the doors will receive a small gift in collaboration with LUSH. Cheryl Haroan, Regional Manager - Central Scotland & N.IL at Lovisa, said: "We can't wait to open at Glasgow Fort and welcome shoppers into our new concept store. From summer jewellery to new piercings, there's plenty to discover - plus a few opening-day treats too." It comes as menswear retailer Moss has also confirmed it will be joining the centre later this year, bringing shoppers everything from tailored suits to smart-casual pieces and accessories, alongside free in-store styling and fitting services. Published date: Thu 11 Jun 2026 Stockport is set to continue its retail revival later tis month, as international jewellery retailer Lovisa prepares to open its latest store at Merseyway. Launching on Sat 27 Jun, the new arrival will take over the former Ernest Jones unit within the shopping centre, bringing 888sqft of trend-led fashion, waterproof collections and gift-ready pieces to the heart of the town centre in time for summer. Known for its contemporary take on accessible jewellery, Lovisa has built a global following through its extensive range of earrings, necklaces, rings and seasonal accessories designed to elevate everyday looks without the designer price tag. The latest opening comes amid continued momentum for Stockport's evolving high street, with more than 11 million people visiting the town centre last year, marking a 15% increase compared with 2024. As investment continues to reshape the borough, Merseyway continues its revival as a central hub for shopping, leisure and community life. Recent months have also seen national footwear retailer Shoezone relocate within the centre, moving into the former Tessuti unit and significantly expanding its footprint. (Image: Supplied) More than 15,000 jewellery pieces will soon be lighting up the latest arrival at a North East shopping centre. International fashion jewellery brand Lovisa is set to open a new concept store at Gateshead's Metrocentre on the Lower Red Mall, marking its first launch of the format in the North East. The store opens on Wednesday (April 22) with a modern, spacious design and will offer a wide selection of earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets, bangles and hair accessories, including 150 new arrivals each week. Gavin Prior, centre director at the Metrocentre, said: "Lovisa is another great addition to Metrocentre, perfectly complementing our best-in-class fashion hub by bringing its extensive range of trend-driven, budget-friendly jewellery and hair accessories. "All of which customers can browse within the spacious, stylish surroundings of Lovisa's new concept store - only the third of its kind to be rolled out in the UK and the very first in the North East." Pieces start from as little as £2.50. Lovisa will also offer a professional piercing service, which is free with the purchase of piercing studs. Piercing prices begin at £16, with a choice of hypoallergenic finishes including surgical stainless steel, sterling silver, titanium, 9ct gold and 14ct gold. The store also features Lovisa's best-selling waterproof collections, popular ahead of the summer holiday season. To celebrate the opening, Lovisa is offering complimentary goodie bags to the first 30 piercing customers. Lovisa has opened its doors on Fore Street in place of Smiggle, which closed permanently on October 26. Founded in 2010 in Queensland, Australia, Lovisa quickly grew to become one of Australia's best-known jewellery stores and has expanded worldwide to now have more than 600 shops across the world. Officially opening in Taunton on November 29, the new store is a part of the "Orchard family" due to its close proximity to the Orchard Shopping Centre. Speaking on the day of its opening, a spokesperson from the shopping centre said: "A warm Orchard welcome to Lovisa. "Lovisa opens its doors on November 29, and we couldn't be more excited to have them join the Orchard family. "Whether you're after everyday sparkle, statement pieces, or a little treat for yourself, their gorgeous jewellery and accessories are ready to explore." Smiggle had been a popular stop on Taunton High Street for nearly 10 years now, ever since it opened in 2016. A former Smiggle staff member confirmed the store's closure to the County Gazette back in October this year. Lovisa's product range includes a wide variety of jewellery like necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings, as well as hair accessories. They also have collections like waterproof jewellery and gold-plated items.
