Lucky Energy expands its beverage line with SLUSH. The flavors that once defined after-school afternoons and long summer days are returning in a modern form. For generations, riding bikes to the corner store for an ice-cold slush was more than a routine. It was a distinctly American ritual that symbolized community, independence, and the simple joys of youth. Lucky Energy revisits that era with the launch of SLUSH, a three-flavor lineup inspired by classic frozen favorites: Blue Razz, Cherry Slush, and Strawberry Slush, with Strawberry Slush joining the lineup later this month. The introduction marks the portfolio's first permanent 12 oz sleek can format and signals the brand's continued evolution as it expands nationwide. The collection will remain a core addition to the growing Lucky Energy lineup. SLUSH delivers the performance Lucky fans expect, with 200 mg of caffeine, the brand's signature blend of five simple ingredients including maca, beta-alanine, taurine, and ginseng, plus zero sugar and zero calories. It is the same clean, high-performance formulation expressed through bold flavor profiles that feel instantly recognizable. As nostalgic flavor experiences increasingly drive trial and repeat within the modern energy category, Lucky Energy is leaning into emotional familiarity as a catalyst for velocity, pairing emotional connection with real performance. "SLUSH represents more than new flavors for us," said Richard Laver, Founder and CEO of Lucky Energy. "It reflects our belief that performance and emotional connection should coexist, and that great taste is at the center of it all. Everything we create starts with delivering a truly delicious, craveable experience. The frozen drinks many of us grew up with represented freedom and shared experience, and we saw an opportunity to bring that moment forward in a way that not only tastes incredible, but also aligns with our zero-sugar, zero-calorie standard and our commitment to simple ingredients. As we scale nationally, we are focused on building a brand that resonates on both a performance and emotional level." Lucky Energy SLUSH is available now in a 12-pack for $29.99 exclusively at LuckyBevCo.com, with retail expansion to follow. NEW YORK, NY, USA - Lucky Energy is kicking off a breakout year, driven by accelerated national growth, expanded availability with H-E-B and EG America, and key executive leadership appointments. This month, Lucky Energy is rolling out to 218 H-E-B stores across Texas, where the brand will be merchandised in the Healthy Living Section. The assortment includes five flavors - OG Luck, Red Ryder, Tropical Thrill, Watermelon Candy, and Bodacious Berry - bringing Lucky Energy's cleaner, balanced approach to energy to one of the country's most influential regional grocers. As demand grows for cleaner, functional energy and the global energy drinks market approaches $100 billion, Lucky Energy is carving out a distinct position in simpler, better-for-you energy without the crash. As part of its broader growth strategy, Lucky Energy has also expanded beyond beverages with the launch of Lucky Energy Gummies, the brand's first innovation outside of the drinks category. The gummies extend Lucky Energy's reach into new everyday energy occasions, offering a portable format designed to complement, rather than replace, the brand's beverage lineup. "Lucky Energy is entering a pivotal chapter of growth," said Richard Laver, Founder and CEO of Lucky Energy. "We've built a strong foundation, proven velocity with key retail partners, and earned consumer trust. With the right leadership in place, we're focused on scaling with discipline while continuing to evolve how energy shows up in people's everyday lives." To support this next phase of growth, Lucky Energy has expanded its executive leadership team with three senior hires across commercial, sales, and distribution: Ray Faust, Chief Commercial Officer, joins Lucky Energy after holding senior leadership roles at OLIPOP, HEINEKEN USA, and Coca-Cola Refreshments, where he helped scale brands through national retail expansion and disciplined go-to-market execution. Dan Zacka, Senior Vice President of Sales, brings national account experience from Red Bull and Congo Brands and will focus on expanding distribution, strengthening retail performance, and driving velocity across key channels. Steve VanWettering, Senior Vice President of Distribution, also joins from Congo Brands and will lead national DSD and wholesale execution to support consistent in-store performance as the brand continues to grow. Founded by serial entrepreneur Richard Laver, Lucky Energy is rooted in the belief that success is created through persistence, not shortcuts - a mindset shaped by Laver's personal journey from surviving the crash of Delta Flight 191 to building Kate Farms, later acquired by Danone. Today, Lucky Energy continues to scale its retail footprint while building a modern energy platform designed to empower people to seize the day with steady, everyday performance.

Lucky Energy, a US-based clean-energy drink brand, has closed an oversubscribed $25 million Series B funding round led by Paine Schwartz Partners, with participation from North Fifth Services, LLC, Sequel and Joyance Partners, alongside existing investors. The funding underscores a growing change in the energy drink market, with consumers demanding more clean options. The capital will support Lucky Energy's retail growth, expand marketing initiatives and strengthen team development as the company scales. As part of the round, Lucky Energy added two new members to its board of directors: James Brennan, founder and CEO of Enlightened Brand Ventures, and Bob DeBorde, chairman of Suja Life and Promix Nutrition. They join Dan Ginsberg, former Red Bull North America CEO. "Lucky Energy is redefining what consumers expect from energy drinks," said DeBorde. "By combining great taste with clean, functional ingredients, the brand is positioned to lead the next wave of growth in the category." Founded by Richard Laver, Lucky Energy has built its brand around simplicity and functionality. Each can contains just five ingredients - including maca and beta-alanine - with zero sugar, zero calories and no artificial additives. The brand's focus on clean formulation and transparency has resonated strongly with consumers seeking sustained, feel-good energy without the crash of traditional energy drinks. Laver said: "Lucky Energy was born from two core beliefs: that people deserve a cleaner, simpler energy drink they can feel genuinely good about. With partners like James and Bob, both proven leaders who have built iconic beverage brands, we're building a modern energy powerhouse." The new funding follows the sell-out launch of Lucky Energy's Black Label line, which was available exclusively online.
Lucky Energy has raised $25 million in Series B funding to accelerate its national rollout and compete in the clean energy drink market.
Lucky Energy raises $25M, adds beverage heavyweights to board. credit: Lucky Energy The clean-energy drink brand projects sales will double year-over-year as it adds beverage vets from Red Bull, Suja and Coca-Cola. The fast-rising energy drink brand has closed an oversubscribed $25 million Series B round to fuel national expansion amid surging demand for zero-sugar, zero-calorie drinks with functional ingredients. The round was led by Paine Schwartz Partners, with participation from North Fifth Services, Sequel Holdings, Joyance Partners and others. Two Paine Schwartz operating directors, Suja Life founder James Brennan of Enlightened Brand Ventures and Bob DeBorde of Suja Life and Promix Nutrition, have joined the board, which includes longtime member Dan Ginsberg, former CEO of Red Bull North America. Founded by beverage entrepreneur Richard Laver, Lucky Energy's name isn't just branding. Laver is the youngest survivor of Delta Flight 191, the 1985 crash that killed his father, tennis coach Ian Laver, and 136 others. He was just 12 years old at the time. The experience shaped the brand's purpose-driven, performance-focused ethos and has built a loyal following around its five-ingredient formula. Each 16-ounce can contains a blend of caffeine, maca, beta-alanine, ginseng and taurine. Next month, Lucky Energy will roll out to Walmart, Sheetz and Cumberland Farms stores nationwide. Sales are projected to double year-over-year, the brand said. "Every now and again, a brand has an incredible story to tell," Brennan said. "We, at Paine Schwartz Partners, think Richard's and the story behind Lucky is one of the greatest of all time." The energy drink company plans to use the new capital to expand retail distribution, strengthen partnerships and marketing efforts and build its team. "To now partner with James, along with DeBorde, whose experience as senior vice president of U.S. sales and operations at Coca-Cola and CEO of Suja brings unmatched expertise, is a full-circle moment and an incredible honor," Laver said. "Lucky Energy is one of the fastest-growing beverage brands in America, and we're just getting started. We're building a modern energy powerhouse, and our ambition is as bold as the people who drink Lucky." Lucky Energy has also tapped Boston Celtics guard and reigning Sixth Man of the Year Payton Pritchard for its "Payton Isn't Lucky. He's Relentless." campaign. A Boston-focused rollout will launch this spring with out-of-home ads, retail activations and an in-store appearance as the brand deepens its East Coast presence. Investor energy is buzzing across the category. This year alone, U.K.-based Neutonic, a nootropic drink founded by fitness influencer James Smith and Modern Wisdom host Chris Williamson, raised $3.7 million to scale its brain-boosting beverage line. Clean energy drink brand Gorgie raised $24.5 million in a Series A and Celsius finalized its $1.8 billion acquisition of Alani Nu, expanding its foothold in the functional beverage space. In 2026, Liquid Death will enter the space with its first zero-sugar sparkling energy line. On the other end of the spectrum, calming drinks are cashing in, too. U.K.-based Trip just raised $40 million from Coefficient Capital and celebrity backers including Joe Jonas, Alessandra Ambrosio and Ashley Graham, pushing its valuation past $300 million. The adaptogen-infused sparkling beverage brand, which has forged a partnership with mindfulness app Calm, is part of a parallel movement in functional drinks that is focused less on stimulation and more on relaxation.
