Lyric shortlisted for Most Innovative AI Technology and Best Use of AI for Healthcare in The 2026 A.I. Awards. NASHVILLE, Tenn.-(BUSINESS WIRE)-Lyric, the healthcare decision intelligence leader, today announced that it has been named to the shortlist for the Cloud Awards 2026 A.I. Awards in two categories: Most Innovative AI Technology and Best Use of AI for Healthcare. "Our healthcare decision intelligence platform, Lyric42, is a meaningful shift from static, sequential processing to a dynamic decision layer," said Brian Berkowitz, Chief Product Officer at Lyric. Share "Being recognized in both the Most Innovative AI Technology and Best Use of AI for Healthcare categories affirms the approach behind Lyric42. Healthcare decision intelligence works because it keeps clients in control, and every recommendation traces back to the policy, data, and logic behind it," said Halsey Wise, CEO of Lyric. "This recognition belongs to the people of Lyric, who built a platform designed to earn trust in one of the most regulated environments in the world." The dual recognition underscores Lyric42's strength as both a technical innovation and a practical healthcare application. Rather than relying on fixed rules processed in a set order, the Lyric42 platform dynamically sequences, prioritizes, and reconciles payment decisions in real time, using policy context, historical outcomes, and reimbursement risk. Every recommendation remains traceable to the policy, data, and logic behind it. "Our healthcare decision intelligence platform, Lyric42, is a meaningful shift from static, sequential processing to a dynamic decision layer. What makes this kind of technology trustworthy in healthcare is that clients can always see the reasoning behind a recommendation, not just the outcome," said Brian Berkowitz, Chief Product Officer at Lyric. The A.I. Awards is operated by The Cloud Awards, a global cloud computing awards body, and has grown to become one of the largest programs in The Cloud Awards' annual calendar since its launch in 2024. The acquisition advances Lyric's mission to build the most innovative and impactful company in healthcare decision intelligence. By combining Concert's proprietary capabilities with Lyric42, Lyric's Healthcare Decision Intelligence Platform, the company extends its ability to serve clients at a time when advanced diagnostics such as genetic testing and the rapid development of new therapies are reshaping healthcare. Health plans face urgent demands to manage rising costs and keep pace with rapidly evolving clinical evidence. To meet these demands, plans require solutions that bring policy, data, and decision-making together in the systems they and their providers already use. The combination of Concert's policy intelligence with the Lyric42 platform delivers that solution to Lyric's clients at a critical moment. "Healthcare decision intelligence will define the next decade of this industry, and Lyric is built to lead it," said Halsey Wise, Lyric CEO. SpinSci Acquires Dialog Health, the Leader in Patient Communications for Health Systems Acquisition Adds Enterprise-Scale RCS-Powered Patient Texting to SpinSci's Generative AI-Powered Patient Access Solution SpinSci, the agentic AI company for patient access, today announced it has acquired Dialog Health, a patient communication platform trusted by Fortune 500 health systems, health plans, and ambulatory surgery centers. The acquisition expands SpinSci's AI-powered patient access platform by adding Dialog Health's proven patient engagement and communication capabilities, creating a more connected healthcare experience. Both companies share a defining trait: a singular, multi-decade focus on healthcare. Dialog Health built its platform specifically for the realities of healthcare communication, including HIPAA, TCPA, and CTIA compliance, rather than retrofitting a generic marketing texting tool. This common focus between SpinSci and Dialog Health makes the integration far deeper than a typical acquisition. Lyric, a healthcare decision intelligence company, has acquired Concert, a precision health payment accuracy leader. The acquisition combines Concert's proprietary technology for translating machine-readable policies into real-time decisions with Lyric42, Lyric's Healthcare Decision Intelligence Platform. Concert brings over a decade of expertise in building machine-readable clinical policy. The two companies have collaborated since 2023, with their joint solution growing nearly tenfold in scope and impact. The combined platform aims to help health plans manage rising costs and keep pace with rapidly evolving clinical evidence. It delivers policy, data, and decision-making capabilities into existing systems used by health plans and providers. Lyric currently supports 200 million lives, with nine of the top 10 US health plans using its platform.
Lyric acquires Concert to expand AI-enabled precision medicine payments. Concert's platform will be integrated into Lyric42 to enhance healthcare payment accuracy for diagnostic and genetic testing. Payment-focused healthcare intelligence platform Lyric announced its acquisition of precision medicine-focused payment technology company Concert to combine Concert's policy intelligence with the Lyric42 platform. Lyric offers health plans tools that analyze policy, data, AI and clinical review after care and before payment to help identify claims that may be incorrect, duplicate or not compliant with a payer's policies. Concert works with health plans, care providers, laboratories and health technology vendors to help manage diagnostic and precision medicine testing. Its platform combines clinical evidence, medical policies, coding standards, and payment rules to allow diagnostic tests, such as genetic and other laboratory tests, to be ordered, reviewed and reimbursed more accurately. The companies, which have had an established partnership since 2023, said the acquisition will merge Concert's precision medicine capabilities with Lyric's AI-enabled decision intelligence platform. "This combination allows us to accelerate our pace of innovation for our clients," Ravi Umarji, Lyric president and CFO, said in a statement. "Concert's ground-up approach to synchronize human- and machine-readable policy will plug into health plan workflows through the Lyric42 platform. This approach fundamentally shifts the model from reactive enforcement at disconnected checkpoints to shared standards, providing transparency and alignment across stakeholders. The combination will benefit our health plan clients, their network providers and the members they serve." THE LARGER TREND Concert and Lyric initially established a partnership in 2023 to combine machine learning models and market data to improve payment accuracy for genetic testing claims. In 2024, the pair expanded their collaboration to focus on laboratory payment accuracy for advanced and routine tests. Last year, Lyric acquired ClaimShark, a payment technology company for health plans. ClaimShark's offerings were integrated into Lyric's platform, resulting in Lyric having an AI/cloud foundation that connects payers to a library of data analytics, pre-pay editing and overpayment detection tools. That same year, Connect partnered with health information network Availity to digitize and automate prior authorizations for genetic testing. A year before, Concert integrated its coding standards and Genetic Testing Unit (GTU) identifier with EviCore's medical policies and authorization guidelines with the aim of improving authorizations and efficiency of molecular and genomic testing for health plans, providers and patients.
Lyric, a healthcare decision intelligence platform provider, has announced that leading health plans are using advanced orchestration capabilities within its Lyric42 platform to coordinate payment decisions across rules, workflows and payment accuracy products. The intelligent orchestration capabilities help health plans improve payment accuracy by dynamically sequencing and reconciling payment decisions in real time, rather than processing claims through fixed rules. The system draws on policy context, historical outcomes, provider impact and reimbursement risk to generate payment recommendations. Lyric aims to help health plans reduce administrative waste, unnecessary audits and denials whilst lowering costs for both insurers and providers. CEO Halsey Wise said the platform augments human decision-making with better coordination and evidence to enable more confident payment decisions at scale.
