MTF Biologics is a global nonprofit that coordinates tissue and organ donation, transplantation, and related research through a network of organ procurement and tissue recovery organizations and academic medical centers. It connects donor families with medical teams, recovers and processes donated tissues and organs, and supports implantation and transplantation across its partner institutions while funding studies to improve outcomes. Unlike for-profit competitors, it operates as a mission-driven consortium that prioritizes saving lives over commercial sales. Its goal is to increase safe tissue and organ donation, improve transplant results, and advance research in transplantation and tissue science.

MTF Biologics, a global nonprofit organisation focused on tissue transplantation, has launched FlexHD® Meshed, an extension of its FlexHD® reconstructive surgery portfolio. The pre-meshed acellular dermis matrix is designed for soft tissue defects, addressing irregular wound geometries and accelerating coverage for graft incorporation. The product eliminates the need for intraoperative preparation, reducing operating room time whilst providing immediate coverage that conforms to irregular anatomy. FlexHD® Meshed is cut from a deeper layer of dermis and aseptically processed to ensure superior handling and clinical efficacy. Developed in collaboration with surgeons treating complex wounds and deep tissue injuries, the allograft provides a structural scaffold that supports cellular repopulation and tissue integration. The product is now available through MTF Biologics.
MTF Biologics, a global nonprofit organisation focused on tissue and organ donation and transplantation, has appointed Ladora (Dorrie) Dils to its Board of Directors and named David McAllister as Vice Chair. Dils brings over three decades of experience in organ donation, currently serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of Gift of Life Michigan since 2024. She previously spent more than 20 years at Lifeline of Ohio, rising to Chief Clinical Officer. Dils is also Immediate Past President of the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations and has served on the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network's Board of Directors. "Her expertise will be pivotal as we consider additional ways to support clinicians in saving and healing lives", said Joe Yaccarino, MTF Biologics' President and Chief Executive Officer.
MTF Biologics and Kolosis BIO have launched DBX Fiber, a new demineralized bone matrix product designed for complex spinal and orthopaedic procedures. The fibre tissue form is processed to provide surgeons with enhanced handling and osteoinductive potential in challenging fusion environments. DBX Fiber expands the existing DBX portfolio, which already includes DBX Mix and DBX Putty. The addition strengthens Kolosis' surgical biologics portfolio, which features products such as Kore Fiber, a cortical bone allograft, and Summit Matrix, a synthetic bone graft. MTF Biologics is a global nonprofit organisation focused on tissue and organ donation, transplantation and research. Kolosis BIO specialises in commercialising surgical biologics technologies across spine and orthopaedic procedures. The partnership aims to provide surgeons with greater versatility whilst maintaining trusted biologics solutions.
MTF Biologics, a global nonprofit tissue and organ donation organisation, and Kolosis BIO have launched Summit Matrix, an advanced synthetic bone graft for orthopedic and spinal surgeries. The product uses NanoLift surface technology, combining nanoscale topography with biomimetic chemistry to enhance bone regeneration. Summit Matrix integrates with existing products including Kore Fiber, Prime HD and DBX Mix. Its hydroxycarbanoapatite composition mimics natural bone mineral, enabling optimal resorption and osseointegration. The nanocrystalline surface supports cell activity to promote bone formation. The launch expands the partnership between MTF Biologics, founded by orthopedic surgeons nearly 40 years ago, and Kolosis BIO, which has established itself as a leading orthobiologics provider. Together, the organisations aim to deliver innovative solutions that enhance surgical efficiency and clinical practice.
