Marble partners with scientists, engineers and operators to build climate-focused deeptech startups that reduce greenhouse gases, remove carbon, and cool the planet. Their main product is a venture studio that scours hard-to-abate climate problems and co-creates startup ventures with founding teams, starting at pre-seed, to bring breakthrough technologies to market. Founders-in-Residence work with Marble to identify high-impact climate opportunities and form companies with large emissions-reduction potential. Marble differentiates itself by actively creating and deploying radical, early-stage deeptech solutions rather than relying on traditional tech transfer, backed by climate and deep-tech investors. The goal is to move the world closer to net zero by delivering at least one gigaton of avoided or removed emissions through the startups they help build.

New York-based CryoBio has raised $1.3 million in pre-seed funding to commercialise its novel frost protection technology for high-value crops including apples and grapes. The round was led by Marble, with participation from AgVenture Alliance, New York Ventures, Launch NY, FuzeHub, Klessig Trust and Jade Cove Partners. The company, a spin-out from venture studio Marble, has developed a solution addressing a growing problem exacerbated by climate change. Frost and freeze events caused $854 million in US crop losses in 2024, with damages reaching $3 billion in severe years. Co-founded by Murli Manohar and Abe Pressman, CryoBio claims its technology surpasses existing frost protection methods, which remain expensive or ineffective. The funding will expand operations in New York and support hiring in biochemical engineering, biomanufacturing and horticulture.

AtmoCooling, a Hub71 startup, has raised $2.6M in pre-seed funding to scale its seawater evaporative cooling technology. The funding round was co-led by Nucleus Capital and Revent Ventures, with participation from others. The technology repurposes brine and seawater to create microclimates, reducing heat stress and supporting agriculture in arid regions. AtmoCooling is expanding pilot projects and forming strategic partnerships to enhance climate resilience in these areas.
