Mediatech

Showcases AV, UC, Broadcast, Event tech

Overview

Mediatech Africa runs the continent’s largest AV, UC, Broadcast and Event Technology Expo, giving attendees a chance to view, experience, and engage with the latest technology. The expo works by bringing together manufacturers, distributors, and users in a trade-show format where booths, demonstrations, and live sessions let visitors see and try products across audiovisual, unified communications, broadcasting, and event tech. What sets Mediatech apart is its size and scope within Africa, focusing on hands-on exposure and direct interaction rather than just product listings, and serving as a central gathering for the regional market. The goal is to connect African buyers, vendors, and industry professionals to the newest tech, foster business deals, knowledge sharing, and the adoption of advanced AV, UC, and broadcast solutions across the continent.

TVU Networks to broadcast live from the show floor at Mediatech Africa 2026.

TVU Networks to broadcast live from the show floor at Mediatech Africa 2026. Reading Time: 3 mins read For three days at Mediatech Africa 2026, the exhibition floor at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit will double as a working live broadcast studio. TVU Networks, in collaboration with distribution partner Icily Live and Mediatech Africa, will run "Mediatech Africa Live | Powered by TVU Networks" from a dedicated broadcast pod in Hall 1 across all three days of the show, 30 June to 2 July. The activation turns the exhibition floor into a working live studio. The production runs entirely on TVU's cloud and IP workflow. Cameras on the show floor feed into TVU Packs and TVU Anywhere mobile apps, capturing interviews, product demonstrations and conversations as they happen. TVU Producer, TVU's cloud production switcher, handles the live mix in real time, before TVU Channel runs the finished stream as a live channel across Mediatech Africa's YouTube, social media platforms, and screens throughout the venue. No satellite uplink. No outside broadcast truck. Just the same end-to-end TVU workflow used to power some of the world's biggest live events, running from a compact pod on the exhibition floor. Exhibitors at Mediatech Africa are invited to take part. By booking a 20-minute slot, companies can showcase their teams, solutions, and stories to a far wider audience, including industry professionals who follow the show and are unable to attend in person. Booking is straightforward: exhibitors choose a day and time across 30 June to 2 July, share what they would like to cover, and the TVU and Icily Live production teams handle the rest. Slots are limited across the three days. Dheshnie Naidoo, Regional Director, Africa at TVU Networks, said: "Mediatech Africa is where the continent's media and broadcast community comes together, so it is the perfect place to show what live IP production makes possible. Rather than simply exhibiting, we wanted to go live and put the technology to work in front of everyone. Inviting exhibitors onto the show gives the whole floor a platform and reflects how we see the future of live content in Africa: open, connected and built on collaboration." Alongside the live broadcast, visitors can meet the TVU team at Stand B16 to see its live cloud and IP solutions first hand and book a one-to-one meeting. TVU will also deliver a session, "The Hybrid Future of Live Distribution: Satellite + IP Lessons for African Media," on 30 June at 15:30 in Presentation Zone 1, Level 2 of Hall 1. About TVU Networks: TVU Networks is a global provider of cloud and IP-based live video solutions, enabling broadcasters, sports networks, and media organisations to produce, manage, and distribute live content from anywhere. Its product portfolio spans live transmission, cloud production, AI-powered media management, and channel playout, and is trusted by leading media organisations across more than 100 countries. About Icily Live Icily Live is a South African broadcast and live production company specialising in live, hybrid, and remote production services. The company provides production facilities, studios, flyaway kits, OB vehicles, and sales and support for broadcast equipment, helping broadcasters, content creators, brands, and event organisers deliver high-quality live productions across South Africa. About Mediatech Africa Mediatech Africa is the continent's largest trade expo for professional AV, broadcast, media, content creation, and live event technology. Taylorleds announced as a sponsor of the Commercial Screens & Display Technology Sector at Mediatech Africa.

Taylorleds announced as a sponsor of the Commercial Screens & Display Technology Sector at Mediatech Africa. Mediatech Africa is pleased to announce Taylorleds as an official sponsor of the Commercial Screens & Display Technology Sector at the 2026 expo, taking place from 30 June to 2 July at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Johannesburg. Taylorleds, distributed in Sub Saharan Africa by Peripheral Vision, supplies a wide range of LED display solutions across corporate boardrooms, auditoriums, lecture theatres, indoor retail displays, immersive rooms, mission critical control rooms, outdoor digital signage solutions and public space environments. Their portfolio includes fine pitch indoor displays, outdoor commercial LED solutions, high-resolution COB technology, and customised configurations designed for long-term, fixed installations. The Commercial Screens & Display Technology Sector at Mediatech Africa focuses on fixed installation display solutions used in boardrooms, retail environments, corporate headquarters, control rooms, hospitality spaces, education campuses and digital signage networks. The sector brings together LED manufacturers, digital signage providers, commercial display brands and content management platforms serving integrators, consultants, architects, IT managers and end users responsible for permanent visual infrastructure. Wynand Langenhoven, CEO of Peripheral Vision, says the sponsorship reflects the growing demand for high-performance display technology in commercial environments: "Mediatech Africa has always been an important platform for the Pro AV industry on the African continent. As the South African distributor of Taylorleds, Mediatech Africa is proud to support the Commercial Screens & Display Technology Sector as an official sponsor. Taylorleds took its name from its original focus on customised, 'tailored' solutions. This has since evolved into a full range of LED display products, now offering a broad, quality, well-priced range, including more recent transparent LED display technology. For Mediatech Africa, the sponsorship is about backing the industry and creating a platform where integrators, consultants and end users can see the technology up close, ask the right questions and make informed decisions." Visitors to Mediatech Africa 2026 will be able to engage with the Peripheral Vision team at the Taylorleds stand in Hall 2 and explore how Taylorleds' LED solutions are being deployed in permanent installations across multiple sectors.
