Wild Lights returns to the Detroit Zoo this holiday season - bigger, brighter, and more magical than ever! The holidays are about to sparkle a little brighter in Metro Detroit! The Detroit Zoo's 13th Annual Wild Lights, presented by Michigan First Credit Union, is back November 22, 2025 through January 4, 2026, and this year's celebration promises to be the most dazzling one yet. Families can stroll through millions of shimmering lights and more than 500 jaw-dropping animal- and nature-themed displays that transform the Zoo into a breathtaking winter wonderland. It's the perfect way to slow down, bundle up, and soak in the magic of the season together. What's new for 2025. Get ready for all-new sights and experiences! This year's Wild Lights introduces several brand-new attractions that will wow guests of all ages: * Enchanted Rainforest - Step into a glowing jungle filled with colorful creatures and lush lighted canopies. * Field of Lights - Wander through a radiant landscape that sparkles and shifts with every step. * Light Bright Interactive Wall - Kids will love creating their own colorful designs and seeing them come to life in lights! * Living Wishing Tree - Make a wish and watch it shimmer across a "living" light display that responds to movement. * Pop-Up Performances & Holiday Fun - Keep an eye out for festive entertainers, glowing surprises, and plenty of photo ops throughout your visit. Add a little extra magic with optional experiences like the 4D Theater Show, carousel rides, glow-with-the-show lanyards, photos with Santa, or a special dinner buffet. Give back while You celebrate. Wild Lights isn't just about bright displays - it's also about spreading holiday cheer. The Detroit Zoo is once again partnering with Mittens for Detroit and Marine Toys for Tots to help local families in need. Bring a new pair of mittens or gloves (Dec. 15 - 31) or a new, unwrapped toy (through Dec. 18) and drop them off at collection bins near the entrance or inside the Detroit Zoo Shop. Your visit also supports the Detroit Zoological Society's ongoing mission of conservation and animal care - making this holiday tradition a gift that keeps on giving. When to go.
