Milestone Solution Summit Bengaluru: video infrastructure deserves an immune system. Vega Systems supported and presented at the Milestone Solution Summit in Bengaluru, hosted by Milestone India. Bringing partners and end customers into the same room produced exactly the kind of direct conversation this industry needs more of. Its message was a simple one: video infrastructure deserves an immune system. When a recorder fails, a site goes dark, or a migration stalls, the footage you depend on should not be the thing at risk. Vega Systems Inc. walked through the products that sit natively inside Milestone XProtect. RMF for active-active redundancy with cross-site SQL sync and media backfill. Tandem for two recorders running as one identity. SureStream for client-side streaming failover. XPort for migration and consolidation without the downtime. Nidhi for media backup and restore, taken straight from the recorder database. And because resilience should not stop at the network edge, Vega Systems Inc. showed Atlas, which carries video securely over cellular across any VMS, for sites where fixed connectivity cannot reach. Thank you to Abhinav Sharma, Mudit Jhanwar, Syed Budden Mansoor, and Bharath SG for the invitation and the seamless hosting, and to the wider Milestone Systems team for building the ecosystem that makes events like this possible. To everyone Vega Systems Inc. met on the floor: thank you for the questions, the whiteboarding, and the coffee.

June 25, 2026 Milestone Systems has appointed Mette Mai Maarup as Executive Vice President of Strategy, Communications & Branding and a member of the company's Executive Leadership Team (ELT). Previously serving as Vice President of Strategy & Corporate Development, she will also continue in her role as Managing Director, Commercial, at brighter AI, where she leads the commercial strategy for Milestone's Data & AI services. "Milestone is entering an exciting new chapter where a strong strategic direction, a clear voice, and a distinctive brand are essential for success. I am delighted to welcome Mette to the Executive Leadership Team," said Acting CEO Jeppe Frandsen. Mette Mai Maarup joined Milestone Systems in 2020 and has since held several senior leadership positions in strategy and business development. Milestone highlights AI-driven future of video intelligence at MXD event. 2026-06-24 More than 400 security leaders, customers and technology partners gathered in Las Vegas for Milestone Xperience Days (MXD) USA 2026, where the video technology company outlined its vision for the next generation of AI-enabled security and operational intelligence. Held over two days, the event brought together customers from sectors including law enforcement, healthcare, transportation and smart cities, alongside major technology partners including NVIDIA and Dell Technologies. Milestone chief technology officer Andrew Burnett said the company is building a future-ready video management platform designed for the AI era. "Milestone is bringing forward a future-proof video management platform built for the AI era, with analytics that help move security operations from reactive to more predictive," Burnett said. The company also highlighted its strategy of combining XProtect video management software, BriefCam AI analytics and Arcules cloud-native VSaaS into a unified portfolio. According to Tim Palmquist, vice president for North America at Milestone Systems, the pace of innovation means customers increasingly require flexible architectures that can evolve with new technologies. "No single vendor can deliver everything or fully envision the technology of tomorrow," Palmquist said. "The most future-proof approach is an open ecosystem, where you can integrate new technology and adapt quickly." A key theme throughout the conference was the role of AI in reducing false alarms and improving operator efficiency. "False alarms aren't just an annoyance. They're a trust problem," Palmquist said. "When operators learn to ignore alerts because most of them don't mean anything, the system stops working." Day two featured a keynote from NVIDIA's Adam Scraba, who joined Burnett to discuss the emergence of physical AI - systems capable of perceiving and understanding real-world environments in real time. The conference also featured presentations from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Harry Reid International Airport and Clark County School District, which shared insights into operating security systems at city scale. Milestone said the event reinforced the growing importance of intelligent video technologies that can help organisations move beyond traditional surveillance and towards predictive, data-driven operations. Milestone Systems expands cloud capabilities with XProtect 2026 R1 and Arcules updates. And strengthens security operations. Milestone Systems, a player in open platform video management software, announced XProtect 2026 R1 and Arcules VSaaS platform enhancements, delivering updates to strengthen security operations, simplify system management, and expand cloud flexibility across a wide range of deployment environments."XProtect 2026 R1 and the latest Arcules enhancements reflect two priorities central to where Milestone is headed: advancing our core platform to deliver greater operational intelligence and accelerating our cloud capabilities to give customers more flexible, scalable options for deploying and managing video security," said Andy Burnett, CTO, Milestone Systems. "These updates create tangible value for everyone in the ecosystem, from operators in the field to the partners and decision-makers who depend on clear insight into system performance." The latest Milestone releases support this direction by strengthening the platform's operational foundation, making system insights more accessible, simplifying ongoing management, and enabling greater flexibility as security environments evolve across on-premises and cloud models. XProtect Remote Manager Turns System Data into Business Insight A key highlight is the expansion of XProtect Remote Manager, a browser-based system management tool available to Milestone Care Plus customers. The latest release introduces customizable, scheduled reporting that automatically transforms technical system data, including health metrics, performance indicators, maintenance activity, and inventory status, into structured, visual reports tailored for multiple audiences. The new reporting capabilities address a persistent challenge in enterprise security operations: system administrators have traditionally spent significant time manually compiling and interpreting technical data before presenting to decision-makers and end-customers. XProtect Remote Manager now automates that process, enabling organizations to shift their focus from reactive reporting to proactive system insight. The reporting enhancements deliver measurable value across the security ecosystem: * System administrators reduce manual workload and improve scalability across multi-site deployments * Decision-makers gain clear, non-technical overviews of system performance, compliance, and return on investment * Resellers and service providers gain a scalable way to deliver data-driven proof of managed service value * End-customers receive consistent, accessible reporting that supports confidence and accountability in their security investments Customizable and scheduled reporting is available for XProtect installations with Milestone Care Plus. Additional XProtect 2026 R1 Enhancements XProtect 2026 R1 also includes additional enhancements across system administration, mobile usability, and device support: * New LogServer features a redesigned interface with centralized log visibility, improved filtering and notifications, and more efficient workflows for faster troubleshooting across complex deployments * Mobile Client What's New Archive allows operators to revisit previously released features and updates at any time, rather than relying on one-time launch notifications * Device Pack 14.1 expands verified device compatibility to more than 16,300 devices, with 181 new devices added from 15 technology partners since the previous release Arcules Expands Camera-to-Cloud Support and Introduces Long-Term Video Storage Milestone Systems continues to expand its cloud-native offerings through enhancements to Arcules, its VSaaS, with a series of Spring 2026 enhancements that expand camera-to-cloud capabilities, strengthen cloud retention options, and improve real-time control and mobile usability. Camera-to-Cloud support now extends to Axis multi-sensor cameras, allowing multiple sensor views to be managed entirely in the cloud without additional on-premises hardware. The update enables customers to take full advantage of high-coverage, multi-sensor deployments within a simplified cloud architecture. Camera-to-Cloud support has also been added for supported i-PRO cameras, further broadening the range of devices that can connect directly to Arcules without on-site servers or gateways. Arcules now offers long-term cloud video storage, enabling organizations to archive video data securely in the cloud for extended periods. Archived video remains searchable and accessible, eliminating the need to manage physical storage infrastructure while supporting compliance, investigative, and operational requirements. Additional enhancements include a WebSocket-based PTZ API for most ONVIF-connected cameras, enabling faster real-time pan-tilt-zoom control within automated workflows and third-party integrations, and mobile alert thumbnails for iOS that deliver immediate visual context alongside push notifications for faster event assessment. Together, XProtect 2026 R1 and the latest Arcules updates reflect Milestone's commitment to advancing the capabilities security professionals depend on, whether they operate on-premises, in the cloud, or across hybrid environments.
Milestone Systems gathered over 400 security professionals at its XPerience Days event in Las Vegas to explore AI-driven video intelligence. The company showcased its expanded portfolio including XProtect video management software, BriefCam analytics and Arcules cloud services, emphasising its open platform approach for integrating emerging technologies. The event featured discussions on Physical AI, which enables systems to perceive and respond to real-world environments in real time rather than analysing footage retrospectively. NVIDIA's Adam Scraba and Milestone CTO Andrew Burnett explored opportunities for video intelligence over the next three to five years. Milestone also opened a new Experience Centre in Portland, Oregon, as part of its increased focus on the US market. The company highlighted real-world applications across law enforcement, healthcare, smart cities and transportation sectors.
