Julietta and Moda Operandi team up on the necklace of the summer.

Julietta and Moda Operandi team up on the necklace of the summer. Their new collaboration is full of earthy statement pieces Every product on this page was chosen by a Harper's BAZAAR editor. We may earn commission on some of the items you choose to buy. Maximalism continues to make its way back into our wardrobes, from sporty shell jackets bursting with color to embellished shoes that bounce to life once they hit the pavement. Jewelry is also experiencing a larger-than-life rebrand - the beaded necklaces popular in the fall have gotten chunkier; thin silvery bracelets have expanded into thick, stone-embedded cuffs; and studs have been blown up into life-size decals. One of the brands leading this bolder version of accessorizing is Julietta. Founded in 2021 by Juliana Liden, it quickly caught the attention of luxury retailers like Moda Operandi thanks to its sculptural iterations of earth- and sea-themed pieces, tassled pendant necklaces, and conch-shaped drop earrings. "Moda Operandi believed in Julietta very early on, and that kind of support stays with you," says Liden. The retailer was the first global stockist for the brand, launching it in 2022. "It was effectively love at first sight for our clients," says Ryan Kleman, director of jewelry and accessories at Moda Operandi. Julietta x Moda Operandi Advertisement - Continue Reading Below Building off this relationship, the brand and the retailer have collaborated on a capsule collection launching today. Featuring a selection of stone-heavy pendants, tortoiseshell encased in silver, and Julietta's trademark shells, each of the seven pieces was handcrafted in the Brooklyn-based atelier, and each was designed to be seen. "We wanted the capsule to reflect what Julietta has become today - more confident, more defined, while still holding onto that original spirit of discovery," says Liden. With spring around the corner and many of us itching to shed our layers, the timing feels right. One of the standout pieces is the Sabine cuff. The cool tone of the silver base pairs well with neutrals, while the grid of turquoise stone adds a wash of color that works for the office and days off. It has a nice weight to it that is sadly missing from a lot of contemporary jewelry options. When you wear it, you feel it - add the matching necklace, and you feel invincible. Another favorite is the Pesce earring. The modernist silhouette is cut to the size of a real goldfish - in other words, fairly large - with colorful stones that catch the light beautifully. It's a statement piece in the truest definition, as with everything Julietta puts out. "It has always been about creating jewelry that feels distinctive, intimate, and impossible to overlook," says Liden.
