Mohawk celebrates 25 years with Susan G. Komen.

Mohawk celebrates 25 years with Susan G. Komen. Tuesday, July 21, 2026 [Calhoun, Ga.] Mohawk is marking 25 years of impact with Susan G. Komen the world's leading breast cancer organization, during the 2026 3-Day Series, bringing its most expansive on-site presence to date across all four locations: Boston, Dallas/Fort Worth, San Diego and Tampa, where participants will walk 60 miles over three days in support of Komen's mission to save lives through community support and groundbreaking breast cancer research. What began as a gesture of comfort for walkers sleeping on the ground at camp has grown into one of the most enduring corporate partnerships in the industry. When the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Series moved from camp settings to hotels in 2019, the need for SmartCushion shifted from overnight use to midday rest stops. This year, in collaboration with local retail partners, Mohawk will distribute more than 5,000 SmartCushion pieces during lunch breaks, accompanied by pink sun shelters that give walkers a shaded place to eat before heading back out. Once lunch concludes, every piece of used cushion is collected and recycled through Mohawk's ReCover recycling program, which has diverted more than 160 million pounds of carpet and cushion from landfills to date. "Twenty-five years alongside Susan G. Komen represents far more than a milestone anniversary," said Joe Semaan, president of residential carpet at Mohawk. "It reflects a shared commitment to keep showing up, year after year, for a cause that has touched so many lives. Every city, every walk and every participant reminds us why this work matters. The cushion we provide during each event is a tangible expression of our support, giving walkers a moment to rest and recharge before they take on the next mile. We know that being present is not enough. It is about making sure everyone out there feels the encouragement, care and community behind every step of the journey." The recognition of 25 years extends beyond the walk itself. Following day one, attendees will gather at the hotel for a commemorative video and anniversary cake. On day two, a silver-themed celebration will bring everyone together to honor the lives touched and the progress made over the past 25 years. Since 1989, Susan G. Komen has invested more than $1.1 billion in breast cancer research, contributing to a 44 percent reduction in mortality rates. Despite this progress, significant challenges remain. One in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and experts believe that a third of breast cancer deaths could be prevented with universal access to modern treatments. Every mile walked and every dollar raised brings that future closer. "Over the past 25 years, Mohawk's support of the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Series has helped advance our shared commitment to improving outcomes for people affected by breast cancer," said Sarah Rosales, senior vice president of corporate partnerships at Susan G. Komen. "We are grateful for their long-standing partnership and their continued engagement in helping fuel the research, patient support and advocacy efforts that move us closer to a world without breast cancer." As part of Mohawk's Decorate for the Cure program, a portion of the proceeds from every SmartCushion purchase directly supports Susan G. Komen. Retailers can access advertising assets on the Mohawk Ad Center to promote SmartCushion and Susan G. Komen to their customers during the 3-Day Series and throughout the year. Mohawk Industries Q4 revenues beat estimates at $2.7B, up 2.4% year on year

Mohawk Industries reported fourth-quarter revenues of $2.7 billion, up 2.4% year on year and exceeding analyst expectations by 0.9%. However, the flooring manufacturer's earnings per share guidance for the next quarter missed expectations. Chairman and CEO Jeff Lorberbaum noted that results aligned with internal forecasts, with earnings supported by productivity improvements, restructuring initiatives and lower interest expenses. These gains were partially offset by market pricing pressures and increased input costs. Commercial demand remained stable, though US housing market weakness affected volumes. For the full year, Mohawk generated approximately $621 million in free cash flow and repurchased roughly 1.3 million shares for $150 million. The company's 2025 sales are expected to be split 55% US, 30% Europe and 15% other regions.
