Momentus has successfully launched its Vigoride 7 Orbital Service Vehicle aboard SpaceX's Transporter-16 mission. The spacecraft will host and operate 10 government and commercial payloads, demonstrating autonomous rendezvous and proximity operations, in-space assembly technologies, advanced communications systems and high-performance computing. The mission is supported by approximately $4.2 million in contracts with DARPA, $1.9 million with SpaceWERX, and additional agreements with NASA's Johnson Space Center and Armstrong Flight Research Center. Partners include Portal, Orbit Fab, CisLunar Industries, DPhi, Scout Space and Solstar Space. The Vigoride platform offers over 300 kg payload capacity and up to 3 kW peak power.
