Moonfare

Platform for private equity access

Overview

Moonfare helps individual investors and family offices access top-quartile private equity funds that were usually available to institutions. It sources high-performing private market funds and makes them investable through its platform, acting as an intermediary between private equity funds and clients. Clients invest via Moonfare, with Moonfare handling access, administration, and investment process, and earning fees for sourcing, access, and management. Moonfare differentiates itself by targeting top-quartile funds and providing a digital platform that democratizes private market exposure, backed by partnerships with Fidelity International and Deloitte, and by its role in coordinating the investment workflow for non-institutional investors. The company’s goal is to broaden exposure to private markets and deliver potential superior risk-adjusted returns for individual investors and family offices through curated private equity fund access.

Moonfare backs $2B Osaic continuation vehicle in US wealth management sector

Moonfare Secondary Fund has invested in a continuation vehicle for Osaic, a leading US wealth management platform serving over 10,000 financial advisors managing $747 billion in client assets. The fund joined lead investors Lexington Partners and Ares Secondaries in the transaction. Reverence Capital Partners, Osaic's owner since 2019, structured the continuation vehicle to raise more than $2 billion in fresh capital for the company's continued growth. Under Reverence's ownership, Osaic expanded from approximately 7,000 advisors and $268 billion in assets to its current scale, growing advisor count by roughly 40% and nearly tripling assets. The investment comes as private equity interest in wealth management reaches record levels, with the first quarter of 2025 seeing the highest US deal count ever at $1.67 trillion in assets under management changing hands.

Grab-Goto Deal Buzz Returns: Why It Might Be Real This Time

Is it Groundhog Day again?. Last February, Grab and GoTo Group were said to have reopened merger talks. A year later, like clockwork, reports have resurfaced that the merger is apparently in the works – again.Image credit: Timmy LoenThis time, the deal might value the Indonesian player at more than US$7 billion. Bloomberg reports that one option being discussed is an all-share purchase, which would value GoTo at over 100 rupiah (US$0.006) per share, a premium of about 20% over its value before news of the potential deal broke. One might be forgiven for feeling like they’re in a time loop – just like in the 1993 American comedy Groundhog Day, where a weatherman is forced to relive February 2 repeatedly
