June 2, 2026 - FedArb is pleased to announce that Mark B. Helm, Esq., has joined its panel as an arbitrator and mock panelist for dispositive motion and appellate arguments. Mr. Helm joins FedArb after serving as a full-time neutral in more than 75 matters, following a 37-year complex litigation practice at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP. He is a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals. As an arbitrator, Mr. Helm has handled a broad range of disputes - from complex business matters involving acquisitions, stock purchase agreements, LLC agreements and investment vehicles, to consumer disputes involving cryptocurrency, automobile defects and financing practices. He also brings decades of litigation experience in asset management, entertainment and intellectual property, trade secrets, lawyers' liability and corporate governance matters. The Benito Juárez Attorney of the Year Award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated exceptional accomplishment, leadership and service in the legal profession. Martin was selected in recognition of his contributions to the legal community, including his tenure as U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California. Glenn Pomerantz receives 2025 Maynard Toll Award for Distinguished Public Service. November 7, 2025 Munger, Tolles & Olson Partner Glenn Pomerantz was honored with the 2025 Maynard Toll Award for Distinguished Public Service by the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA). He received the award at LAFLA's Access to Justice Gala on October 29 in Beverly Hills, CA. LAFLA's mission is to achieve equal justice for people living in poverty across Greater Los Angeles. Since 1929, the organization has supported the region through direct representation, systemic change and community education. Glenn has been recognized for his decade of service as a LAFLA board member, including one term as board president. During his presidency, Glenn prioritized the expansion of LAFLA's legal team and played a pivotal role in LAFLA's merger with the Legal Aid Foundation of Long Beach. He also led the organization's 75th anniversary symposium, increased pro bono engagement and supported the overall growth of LAFLA's legal services and advocacy efforts. Following his board service, Glenn helped lead fundraising efforts for the "Building Justice" Campaign, which aimed to realize LAFLA's vision for communities where everyone has access to justice that protects their home, livelihood, health and equality. The campaign provided the resources to increase LAFLA's capacity by constructing an efficient and client-friendly headquarters, now known as the Ron Olson Justice Center (ROJC), after MTO Name Partner Ron Olson.
