How Disneyland Resort is celebrating Earth Month.

How Disneyland Resort is celebrating Earth Month. National Geographic is back for its annual Earth Month takeover at Disneyland Resort By Amy Becker Saturday, April 4, 2026 9:47PM See how Disneyland Resort is celebrating Earth Month with National Geographic explorer Dr. Sammy Ramsey! ANAHEIM, Calif. - It's Earth Month, which means Disney and National Geographic are inviting families to explore the wonders of its shared planet through a month-long celebration featuring powerful storytelling and immersive interactions. The campaign includes the global premieres of National Geographic's "Secrets of the Bees" and Disneynature's "Orangutan," the 30th anniversary of the Disney Conservation Fund and themed programming across its broadcast and streaming portfolio. In addition, Disneyland Resort and National Geographic are teaming up to invite guests to celebrate Earth Month through a series of activations. On The Red Carpet caught up with National Geographic Explorer Dr. Sammy Ramsey during the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, where he hosted a special "Secrets of the Bees" weekend activation. He tells ABC30 Action News, "Here at Disney California adventure food and wine festival, it is absolutely incredible, but also all of the foods that bees pollinate all of the pistachios the different kinds of nuts it's just really all worked into these foods holistically and it tastes amazing." Dr. Sammy Ramsey is featured in the "Secrets of the Bees" special, which hails from executive producer James Cameron, adding an un-bee-lievabale new installment of the Emmy-winning "Secrets of" series. "The entire 'Secrets of' series, you'll notice that we chose animals that people feel like they already know a lot about already. They're all recognizable. The elephants, the whales, the penguins, the octopus, the bees. But then we take that opportunity to show you a whole new world, see what I did there? Very Disney. A whole new world in those organisms. All of the incredible things they do that you can easily miss, and then we remind you how important it is to care for and steward those organisms. There is no better time to remind of you of this than Earth Month, when we all need to have this on our minds," he explains. Across Disneyland Resort hotels, guests will encounter a National Geographic-themed experiential pop-up, complete with an iconic Nat Geo Yellow Border photo opportunity, lawn games and more. In Disney California Adventure, celebrate the series with the "Secrets of the Bees" photo-op at the Brownstones in Hollywood Land. Then, for guests 21+, check out the Cluck-a-Doodle-Moo Food & Wine Booth for the National Geographic Hot Honey White Sangria. Guests visiting Disneyland Resort may also receive the April issue of National Geographic magazine, offering another way to engage with the wonder of the natural world throughout Earth Month. The Food & Wine Festival will continue until April 27, so guests still have time to explore all of the fun food options. "Secrets of the Bees" is streaming now on Disney+ and Hulu. The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of National Geographic, Disney+, Hulu, Disney Parks and this ABC station. Related topics. Ridhi Dogra hosts Nat Geo India's new travel series, 'Postcards from Hong Kong'

Ridhi Dogra hosts Nat Geo India's new travel series, 'Postcards from Hong Kong' March 27, 2026 National Geographic India announces Postcards from Hong Kong in its new Postcards series. A two-episode travel series featuring Ridhi Dogra explores the city's landscapes, cultural depth, and energy, premiering 28 March at 8 PM. Told through the eyes of an Indian traveller, Postcards from Hong Kong, produced by National Geographic Creative Works, offers a perspective on one of Asia's destinations. While the series captures Hong Kong's skyline, harbour, and urban life, it also journeys beyond the familiar to reveal a quieter side of the city. From serene beaches and scenic hiking trails to immersive adventure experiences, the show uncovers gems that challenge conventional perceptions of Hong Kong. At the same time, it delves into the richness of Cantonese culture, highlighting traditional practices and local rituals. Along the way, actor Ridhi Dogra connects with local influencers and guides, giving viewers a look at the city and its people. In the first episode, Ridhi steps away from the fast-paced world, embarking on a journey of self-discovery. As she explores destinations such as Sai Kung, Big Wave Bay, Dragon's Back, Tai O, Ngong Ping, Po Lin Monastery, and the Tian Tan Buddha, she discovers a more grounded side of Hong Kong. The city reveals a different personality, calm, reflective and connected to nature and tradition. This episode becomes a story of two parallel journeys, discovering a side of Hong Kong and rediscovering herself. With 72 hours to go in the second episode, Ridhi immerses herself in the Hong Kong of popular imagination - vibrant and full of life. From the streets of Causeway Bay to the Happy Valley Racecourse, and from Michelin-recognised culinary spots to luxury shopping at Landmark, the episode captures the city. Ridhi Dogra, Actor, National Geographic India said, "Being part of Postcards from Hong Kong with Nat Geo was a deeply enriching experience. What I love about this journey is that it goes beyond the obvious; it's not just about the skyline or the speed of the city but about the stories that live in its quieter corners. From hiking through misty trails to understanding local traditions, I found myself connecting with Hong Kong in a way that felt real, immersive and meaningful." National Geographic India Spokesperson, said, "With Postcards from Hong Kong, we set out to go beyond the familiar and explore the city through a more intimate, human lens. At National Geographic, storytelling is rooted in depth and discovery, and our collaboration with Hong Kong Tourism Board reflects that ethos - bringing together local insights and global storytelling to showcase this exciting city in a whole new light. The series presents Hong Kong as a layered, living narrative, rich in culture, tradition, and unexpected experiences." Puneet Kumar, Director South Asia, Hong Kong Tourism Board said, "Postcards from Hong Kong is a reflection of meaningful storytelling that brings the city to life in an immersive way. We are delighted to see Hong Kong portrayed through such a fresh and nuanced lens. Through this collaboration with National Geographic, the series showcases a side of the city that many travellers are yet to discover - from scenic trails and coastal escapes to rich cultural traditions and vibrant local communities. It beautifully captures the diversity and spirit that define Hong Kong." Every experience turns into a postcard moment, capturing the highlights of her journey from indulging in local favourites to witnessing the Symphony of Lights aboard Aqua Luna. While Hong Kong is the focus, Ridhi's personal touch brings relatability to every moment. Blending travel, culture and personal storytelling, Postcards from Hong Kong offers a look at a city of contrasts where modern life meets tradition and where every corner has a story. Postcards From Hong Kong premieres on 28 March, Saturday at 8 PM on National Geographic Channel. The series will also be streaming on JioHotstar.

Islands Collection by National Geographic Traveller (UK) on newsstands now.

Islands Collection by National Geographic Traveller (UK) on newsstands now. The new Islands Collection by National Geographic Traveller (UK) is out now, exploring the world's islands as places of renewal - where nature, culture and wellbeing intersect. As travellers increasingly prioritise rest and recovery, wellness tourism continues to surge. According to the Global Wellness Institute, the sector is among the fastest-growing areas of travel, driven by demand for experiences that support both physical and mental health. Islands are uniquely placed to meet this shift: their natural boundaries encourage slower travel, while elemental landscapes - mineral-rich waters, salt-laced air, ancient forests and open horizons - offer powerful antidotes to burnout and overstimulation. Against this backdrop, the lead feature explores 11 healing escapes across Europe, where wellness is shaped by landscape rather than luxury. "From volcanic hot springs on Ischia and geothermal bathing in Iceland to forest saunas in Scandinavia and the slow-living traditions of Greece's Ikaria, these islands show how centuries-old practices continue to inform modern approaches to wellbeing," said editor Sacha Scoging. Elsewhere in this edition: * Discover Príncipe, a lost African Eden where conservation-led tourism is helping safeguard one of the planet's most biodiverse islands * Sail Japan's Seto Inland Sea aboard a floating ryokan to discover a past shaped by pirates * Meet Indonesia's coastal communities, whose lives are inseparable from the sea * Explore the Cayman Islands' flourishing food movement, redefining what it means to eat local All this, plus a curated directory of island hotels, resorts and experiences - brought together by advertisers - to inspire travellers planning their next adventure.
