Future Goals Hockey Scholar is a program created by the National Hockey League (NHL) and the NHL Players’ Association (NHLPA) to bring STEM education to K-12 students through the excitement of hockey. It provides a classroom and virtual curriculum that teachers can use to teach science, technology, engineering, and math concepts by connecting them to hockey themes and activities. The program works by offering ready-to-use lessons, activities, and resources that align with educational standards, which can be implemented in schools or accessed online for home learning. It stands apart from competitors by leveraging the NHL/NHLPA partnership to provide a branded, sport-based learning experience and by forming partnerships with schools and sports organizations to deliver content.
