New York Pilates opens Sag Harbor studio ahead of memorial day weekend.

New York Pilates opens Sag Harbor studio ahead of memorial day weekend. May 22, 2026 1/3 free articles used this month. The independently-owned Pilates brand brings its Abs Arms Ass classes east just in time for summer. The "Queen of Pilates" is adding Sag Harbor to her kingdom. New York Pilates opened its latest studio this week on Long Island's East End, arriving in the Hamptons in time for the unofficial kickoff of summer and giving locals and seasonal visitors a new home for its reformer-based programming. The Sag Harbor location marks the latest expansion for the independently owned brand, co-founded by Heather Andersen and Brion Isaacs, who have resisted private equity money and franchising while competitors race to scale. Sag Harbor's space was designed almost entirely with items sourced from Facebook Marketplace, with the team custom-building the reformer racks themselves and pulling furniture from between New York City and Montauk, keeping aligned with its vision of each studio having a unique aesthetic. The studio brings the brand's signature Abs Arms Ass class to the East End, taught by 400-hour-certified instructors. Sag Harbor joins an East End footprint that already includes studios in East Hampton, Southampton and Bridgehampton. The brand has additional New York-area expansion in the works, including a 9,000-square-foot Upper East Side studio and an upcoming Williamsburg location. The opening also introduces a new merchandise line designed by Isaacs with input from the team, made in the USA and sold exclusively at the Sag Harbor location. Pilates options are multiplying in the Hamptons fitness scene. KZ Pilates+, founded by Kevyn Zeller, is entering its third summer from its East Hampton location at 66 Newtown Lane, following the recent opening of its Upper East Side studio. The boutique brand offers semi-private, four-person classes and is introducing Restore & Radiate, a Sunday session that pairs Cadillac Pilates with a HigherDOSE PEMF mat and recovery bodywork.
