Newcode.ai

AI-powered platform automating complex legal workflows

Overview

Newcode.ai provides an AI-native operating system for legal teams that sits on top of a firm’s existing systems and uses AI agents to automate multi-step workflows like document review, contract drafting, legal research, anonymization, and transcription. Instead of standalone tools, it lets legal teams define processes and outcomes and the AI agents perform end-to-end reasoning and execution to produce complete work products. The platform can be deployed on-premise, in a private cloud, or hosted, with strong security and compliance including SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and CCPA. It differentiates itself by applying agentic AI across a firm’s tools to convert institutional expertise into operational infrastructure, aiming to scale work, reduce unbillable hours, and expand globally for law firms, corporate legal departments, and public sector organizations.

Newcode to hire 30 in Dublin as it establishes irish presence.

Newcode to hire 30 in Dublin as it establishes irish presence. 25 Mar 2026 The new jobs are part of Newcode's international expansion, following a seed funding round of more than €5.7m. Norwegian legal-tech software company Newcode is continuing its European expansion with plans to hire 30 employees as it develops a presence in Dublin, Ireland. The move is part of Newcode's plans for international growth, following a seed funding round of more than €5.7m, which was backed by Alliance VC, The LegalTech Fund and other major investors. Founded in 2021, Newcode is an Oslo-headquartered organisation with an additional presence across Europe and the US. The company enables firms and enterprises to run intelligent, auditable and context-aware workflows across their legal operations. Currently, the company is pitching its agentic AI platform as a digital 'co-worker' for legal teams and processes, situated between an organisation's systems, data and applications. Hiring now. Commenting on the jobs announcement, Maged Helmy, Newcode's co-founder and CEO, said: "As we expand our international footprint, we're excited to establish our presence in Ireland, starting with 30 new hires planned in the first year as we scale and invest in one of Europe's most dynamic technology and professional services markets. "With operations already across Denmark, Oslo, Sweden, Finland, Palo Alto and New York, Dublin is the natural next step in our growth." This week, also in Norway, Lace Lithography, a Microsoft-backed chipmaking equipment start-up, announced the raising of $40m to be used in the advancement of its unique semiconductor technologies. Lace's engineers have developed a novel system that uses a helium atom beam over a light-based system, to enable the design of chips that are 10 times as small as what is currently possible. The organisation's CEO Bodil Holst explained that Lace's advancements could allow chipmakers to print silicon wafers at what could be considered "ultimately atomic resolution". Norway's Newcode raises $6.5M from law firms, The Legal Tech Fund and Alliance VC

Norway-based legal AI platform Newcode has raised $6.5 million in funding from The Legal Tech Fund, Alliance VC and several law firms. The company is building what it calls an "AI-native operating system for legal" that enables firms to delegate complex, multi-step work rather than simply assisting with individual tasks. CEO Maged Helmy said the funding will be invested in product and engineering, particularly the company's agentic platform, enterprise deployment capabilities, and market expansion. The platform acts as an intelligence layer across a firm's systems and data, with auditability and control features for enterprise legal work. Helmy predicts the legal AI market will shift from assistance tools to AI-native operating models, with firms placing greater emphasis on governance, security and integration with existing systems.
