NoTraffic offers an AI-powered mobility platform that digitizes and manages urban traffic networks by retrofitting existing signals with radar/video IoT sensors. Real-time data on all road users is sent to a cloud system where AI optimizes traffic light timing to reduce congestion, shorten trips, lower emissions, and enhance safety. The product is sold as a Software-as-a-Service to departments of transportation and municipalities through distributors, delivered as a managed service with 24/7 monitoring and over-the-air updates, and includes a policy dashboard plus apps like emergency vehicle preemption and transit signal priority. It differentiates itself by using radar plus video sensors on existing infrastructure for end-to-end automation and is backed by a global distributor network with deployments across multiple countries, aiming to expand further and cut trip times by up to 50%.

Since the industrial revolution first brought machines into prominence, self-driving vehicles have populated future visions. And with the news that the autonomous delivery robot marketplace is getting a shot in the arm from artificial intelligence (AI), observers are wondering just when self-driving, autonomous vehicles will be a scalable, real-world reality. After all, it was just this week that Alphabet announced in its quarterly materials and earnings call that it was investing an additional $5 billion in Waymo, the autonomous-driving business that originally took to the road over a decade and a half ago as Google’s own self-driving car project. Waymo has yet to turn a profit
For as long as cars have existed, entrepreneurs have chased the dream of autonomous vehicles. Self-driving vehicles, across commercial, personal and industrial use, have the potential to transform — and connect — nearly all facets of commerce and the digital economy. But with news reported Tuesday (June 4) by CNBC that Elon Musk is diverting computing resources that Tesla had ordered from chipmaker Nvidia to another of his companies, social platform X, and in particular its artificial intelligence subsidiary, xAI, observers are beginning to wonder if Tesla’s promises around building a fast-approaching autonomous future could be in question
