North Italia

Upscale casual Italian restaurant chain

Overview

North Italia operates in upscale casual dining, offering modern Italian dishes with handmade pastas, pizzas, and scratch-made entrees. Each location emphasizes made-from-scratch cooking and local menu tweaks, serving lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch seven days a week, with a growing off-premises business via DoorDash (about 14% of Q1 2024 sales). The concept blends Fox Restaurant Concepts’ entrepreneurial approach with The Cheesecake Factory’s infrastructure after its 2019 acquisition, enabling national expansion to about 40 locations with average unit volumes around $7.7 million. Its goal is to grow North Italia nationally by adding locations and improving unit economics through this combined support and expanded off-premises sales.
