Northside Hospital is a nonprofit health system providing hospital and outpatient care to communities across Atlanta and north Georgia. Its specialty services span maternity and newborn care, cancer treatment, cardiovascular medicine, surgery and emergency care, supported by a network of physicians and diagnostic services. Northside says its maternity service delivers more babies annually than any other community hospital in the United States; patients receive inpatient and ambulatory care through its hospitals and outpatient facilities. The system combines clinical services with research and community education, and traces its operating roots to the 1970 opening of its Atlanta flagship; its headquarters are in Atlanta, Georgia.
