Nuada provides point-source carbon capture for heavy industries, using a vertical integration approach to deliver CO2 filtration systems that remove emissions at the source. The technology combines solid adsorbents called Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) with vacuum swing adsorption, creating a heatless, solvent-free process that pulls CO2 from industrial exhaust by lowering the pressure rather than applying heat. Energy-efficient filtration machines are designed for hard-to-abate sectors, helping industrial emitters reach Net Zero targets while keeping operating costs lower. Unlike systems that rely on heat or solvents, Nuada’s approach reduces energy use and capital costs, enabling mass adoption in industry. The company’s goal is to decarbonize heavy industry by providing scalable, lower-cost carbon capture solutions that integrate materials and systems end-to-end.

Belfast-based carbon capture firm Nuada has secured €2.5m in funding from the European Innovation Council Accelerator programme to scale up its technology.
Belfast-based carbon capture startup Nuada has secured €2.5 million (£2.1 million) from the EU's EIC Accelerator, becoming the first Northern Irish recipient of this prize. The funding, provided by the European Innovation Council, supports startups in emerging European markets. Co-CEO Jose Casaban stated that the award validates Nuada's technology and its potential to advance industrial decarbonisation.
BGF has invested £3.4 million in Nuada (formerly MOF Technologies), a UK-based company that's redefining the capture of carbon dioxide from foundational and hard-to-abate industries.
Nuada was previously named as MOF Technologies.
Nuada has been awarded a £666,525.00 grant from the DESNZ to advance carbon capture in the Waste-to-Energy (WtE) industry.
