Numos, an AI platform for enterprise finance teams, has raised $4.25 million in seed funding led by General Catalyst, with participation from Operator Collective. The platform sits atop existing finance systems, continuously analysing transactions across accounting tools, billing systems and data warehouses. Founded by former Zenefits senior vice president Parijat Sarkar and ex-LinkedIn and ServiceNow engineer Mitul Tiwari, Numos addresses CFO concerns about black-box AI by providing transparent, auditable outputs at every step. The company claims customers achieve 80% faster financial planning cycles and close their books in half the time. Enterprise clients include Dandy and publicly-traded Udemy. The funding will accelerate product development and expand the engineering team. Advisors include Sue Taylor, former Chief Accounting Officer at Meta, and Kieran Snyder, VP of AI Transformation at Microsoft.
