OVHcloud provides a wide range of cloud services, including public and private cloud, bare metal servers, web hosting, and domain services. It operates its own servers and data centers, using a proprietary water-cooling system and a vertically integrated supply chain from hardware to hosting, which helps keep costs down. Customers pay for cloud resources on a pay-as-you-go basis or through subscriptions for dedicated services. The company differentiates itself by owning the full production stack and infrastructure, enabling predictable pricing, performance, and data locality, with a strong emphasis on data sovereignty and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR) across its global network of data centers. OVHcloud aims to offer scalable, compliant cloud solutions suitable for startups, SMBs, enterprises, and public sector organizations, providing an alternative to hyperscale providers by focusing on cost efficiency and European data governance.

OVHcloud, the European cloud leader, has signed a binding agreement to acquire Dragon LLM, a French AI model fine-tuning platform designed for regulated industries. The acquisition marks OVHcloud's first deal and the launch of its AI lab focused on training and fine-tuning sovereign large language models. Dragon LLM, originally founded as Lingua Custodia, develops specialised generative AI models for businesses. The company won the European Commission's Large AI Grand Challenge and creates high-performance, cost-effective models deployable on local infrastructure. The acquisition will strengthen OVHcloud's generative AI expertise, adding fine-tuning specialists to its team. OVHcloud plans to offer customers new generative AI services for sensitive data, deployable both in the cloud and on-premises.
OVHcloud, a global cloud player and the European Cloud leader, announces the acquisition of Seald, a French company focused on end-to-end encryption technologies.
OVHcloud has acquired Seald, a French company specialising in end-to-end encryption technologies, to strengthen its data security offering and regulatory compliance capabilities. The acquisition enables OVHcloud to adopt a zero-knowledge encryption model, where data is encrypted before transmission and can only be decrypted by end users on their devices. Seald's software development kit, which has received CSPN security certification from France's cybersecurity agency ANSSI, simplifies the integration of end-to-end encryption into web and mobile applications. The technology supports access rights management, encryption key rotation, multi-device support and secure private key recovery. OVHcloud plans to integrate end-to-end encryption natively into its cloud catalogue, complementing existing security solutions including Secret Manager, Key Management Service and Hardware Security Module.
OVHcloud Identity and Access Management is part of the Group's ongoing product roadmap and commitment to continuous innovation. Accessible through a centralized user interface directly within the OVHcloud control panel, as well as from the OVHcloud API, the feature allows granular control of an organization's security privileges and provides total control over who can access digital resources. Available for Public Cloud and Hosted Private Cloud, IAM helps to improve security by thwarting malicious attacks and supports enhanced compliance and productivity for IT teams by delivering a higher level of performance for users' login. With Identity Federation, IAM allows customers to connect to the corporate directory of their choice via SSO. With granular policy management that spans through the complete OVHcloud product portfolio, it's easier than ever to create user groups, define the minimum set of authorizations granted by default, and leverage OAuth2 tokens within IAM policies or authentication through OVHcloud API. OVHcloud Terraform provider also now includes IAM actions so IT teams can fully automate their OVHcloud deployments. Capabilities such as audits and logs help organizations keep tabs on access to help comply with regulations and standards related to data privacy and security."We are committed to our customers and continue to enrich the features of our Identity and Access Management solution: after having enabled federation and identity management for our IaaS solutions, we're proud to expand fine-grained policy management to our trusted cloud services: this is a key enabler for our customers, offering some of the most advanced features one can think of," said Thierry Souche, Chief Technology Officer OVHcloud. An IAM to control cloud access - A secure and sustainable offerOffering Identity and Access Management, OVHcloud aims at answering IT organization needs for fine-grained access policy management and identity federation on a trusted cloud
