OakBend Medical Center is a nonprofit medical provider serving Fort Bend and surrounding areas. Its main Jackson Street campus is a full-service 184-bed hospital, and the system highlights a No Wait ER, an advanced trauma program, and strong geriatrics services. As a nonprofit governed by a community board, OakBend finances care to help patients regardless of their ability to pay and reinvests surplus into services and community programs. It aims to provide high-quality, accessible healthcare while maintaining its stance as the last independent nonprofit hospital in the Greater Houston area, using community partnerships and a focus on service excellence to support local health needs.
