Ocean Software to support SkyAlyne for Royal Canadian Air Force Future Aircrew Training program. Estimated reading time 2 minutes, 55 seconds. Ocean Software has been selected by SkyAlyne to provide the Resource Management and Scheduling (RM&S) capability as part of the training system supporting Canada's Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). Under the agreement, Ocean will deliver its FlightPRO and TAMS solutions to support the planning, scheduling and management of training operations across the FAcT program, with implementation activities expected to commence in the coming months. SkyAlyne, a joint venture between CAE and KF Aerospace, is the Prime Contractor for the FAcT program, which will modernize pilot and aircrew training for the RCAF. The program will operate from 15 Wing Moose Jaw (Saskatchewan), 15 Wing Southport (Manitoba), and 17 Wing Winnipeg (Manitoba), and includes introducing five new training aircraft fleets - with 71 total new aircraft. The program is managed jointly by industry, RCAF, and government from a Joint Management Office in Ottawa (Ontario). Today's announcement builds on more than 20 years of partnership between Ocean and the RCAF, with FlightPRO supporting training management, personnel readiness, scheduling and operational coordination across the NATO Flying Training in Canada (NFTC) and Contracted Flying Training and Support (CFTS) programs, the predecessors to FAcT. "Canada has been one of Ocean's most important defence partnerships for more than 20 years," said Pete Smith, CEO of Ocean Software. "We are proud to be working with SkyAlyne in support of the Royal Canadian Air Force's transition to the Future Aircrew Training program. FAcT represents a significant investment in the future of Canadian military aviation, and we are pleased to contribute proven capability already trusted across the RCAF enterprise." "FAcT represents a significant step forward in how Canada trains its future pilots and aircrew," said Kevin Lemke, general manager of SkyAlyne. "Ocean Software's long-standing experience across existing RCAF training programs provides a strong foundation as we modernize training and deliver a world-class capability for the Royal Canadian Air Force."
