AI image-guided interventional systems for hospitals

Overview

Omega Medical Imaging designs, manufactures, delivers, and supports AI image-guided interventional systems used in hospitals and healthcare facilities worldwide. The system uses AI-powered imaging with region-of-interest technology to guide interventional procedures while dramatically reducing radiation exposure for patients and staff, compared with standard imaging systems. The company differentiates itself by offering what it claims is the first and only AI image-guided interventional platform, backed by more than 30 years of industry experience, aimed at helping healthcare partners achieve the quadruple aim (better patient outcomes, improved experience, lower costs, and healthier staff). Its goal is to disrupt the current imaging landscape in healthcare and enable partners to meet and exceed these goals through safer, more precise interventional imaging.

Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital expands Advanced Endoscopy capabilities with Omega.

Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital expands Advanced Endoscopy capabilities with Omega. Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois, continues its commitment to advanced patient care and clinical innovation with the installation of imaging technology from Omega Medical Imaging. The new Northwestern Medicine Center for Advanced Endoscopy represents a major investment in bringing highly specialized digestive health services closer to patients across suburban Chicago and beyond. Supported by a $15 million investment, the 20,000-square-foot center is designed to provide consultations, diagnostics, treatments, and follow-up care in one comprehensive location. "Our vision is to make Central DuPage Hospital a destination for advanced GI care, not just for this region, but nationally and globally," said Dr. Amrita Sethi, Medical Director of the Center for Advanced Endoscopy. "We are bringing innovative therapies, minimally invasive diagnostics, clinical research, medical training, and comprehensive patient support together under one roof." Dr. Sethi leads an internationally recognized team focused on advanced gastrointestinal care, therapeutic endoscopy, pancreaticobiliary disease, Barrett's esophagus, metabolic health, and early cancer detection. "This investment underscores Northwestern Medicine's commitment to bringing leading-edge, academically driven digestive care to more patients," said Dr. Sri Komanduri, Associate Chief of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Northwestern Medicine. "By combining top-tier talent, advanced technology, and a focus on innovation, Northwestern Medicine is setting the new standard for what GI care can look like in a community setting." As one of only a few stand-alone advanced endoscopy centers in the United States, the facility includes advanced imaging technology, AI-enabled diagnostics, dedicated procedure suites, and plans for a future hybrid operating room to support increasingly complex endoscopic interventions. With the integration of Omega's imaging technology, Central DuPage Hospital further strengthens its ability to support advanced endoscopy procedures with precision imaging, streamlined workflow, and radiation reduction designed for the needs of the modern GI lab. Omega's E-View.AI platform is purpose-built for ERCP and advanced endoscopy procedures, offering AI-driven Region of Interest technology, a large field-of-view flat-panel detector, integrated scatter radiation protection, and advanced imaging performance to support physicians and staff during complex procedures. The Center's focus on innovation, patient access, and academic-level care aligns closely with Omega's mission to deliver advanced imaging solutions that enhance clinical efficiency, support radiation safety, and help healthcare teams provide exceptional care. Omega Medical Imaging is honored to support Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital and the Center for Advanced Endoscopy as they expand access to world-class GI care throughout Illinois and beyond.
