BRS working president KT Rama Rao congratulated Aarav Garg, the Hyderabad-based co-founder of AI startup Omi, which has raised $3 million and sold over...
Omi AI, a wearable AI assistant founded by entrepreneur Nik Shevchenko, has raised venture capital to build an ambient intelligence device that continuously listens to conversations and generates productivity insights without manual input. The compact wearable captures audio and processes it through cloud-based AI to produce meeting summaries, memory recall, task tracking and contextual insights. Unlike traditional voice assistants, Omi operates passively without wake words or commands, building a contextual memory layer over time. The device is expected to cost between ₹15,000 and ₹25,000 in India, though official localised pricing has not been announced. Availability remains limited to online purchases and early-access programmes. Whilst praised for its hands-free productivity features, the device faces privacy concerns due to continuous listening and requires cloud connectivity to function.
