Overview
Omni Network provides an interoperability protocol that connects Ethereum rollups, enabling different layer-2 solutions to communicate and share liquidity. It targets developers and users in the blockchain space, allowing universal access to liquidity and capabilities across all Ethereum rollups so dApps can be built and used more efficiently. The platform works by enabling cross-rollup interactions and services, including a staking program (Genesis) to secure the network and potential rewards, with revenue from transaction fees and token appreciation of the OMNI token. Compared to other projects, Omni focuses specifically on unifying fragmented Ethereum rollups to deliver seamless cross-rollup experience and liquidity, rather than just enhancing a single rollup. The overall goal is to create a cohesive, scalable, and secure Ethereum ecosystem where rollups can interoperate smoothly, expanding DeFi and dApp development.
