Omnissa named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Desktop as a Service for the fourth consecutive year. Omnissa announced that it has been recognized for the fourth consecutive year as a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Desktop as a Service (DaaS). Omnissa was also ranked among the two highest scoring vendors across all five use cases in the accompanying 2026 Gartner Critical Capabilities for Desktop as a Service report. Omnissa is the only evaluated vendor positioned as a Leader across the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Desktop as a Service, Gartner Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Management Tools, and the Gartner(R) Magic Quadrant for Digital Employee Experience Management Tools reports. Omnissa believes this recognition reflects the strength of its unified platform approach, enabling IT teams to support major device types and operating systems at scale, while managing digital experiences holistically. Organizations are managing increasingly complex desktop environments across clouds and distributed workforces, while facing pressure to control costs, strengthen security and respond quickly to changing business requirements. IT teams need solutions that simplify management while giving employees secure, reliable access to the applications and desktops they count on from any location or device. Horizon Cloud enables organizations to deploy and scale virtual desktops and applications on-premises, in public clouds like Microsoft and Amazon, or across hybrid environments, while managing them through a single cloud-based control plane. Integration across the Omnissa platform gives IT greater visibility into desktop performance and user experience, while automation helps simplify provisioning and reduce day-to-day management costs. "The value of DaaS is increasingly about helping IT manage complexity while maintaining the flexibility their organizations require," said Arindam Nag, vice president of product management at Omnissa. "Being named a Leader for the fourth consecutive year comes as we continue to give customers real choice across hypervisors and cloud platforms, backed by deeper intelligence and automation in Horizon Cloud. These advancements help IT simplify operations today and build towards a more autonomous digital workspace." The real-world impact of Omnissa Horizon is evident across industries. One large U.S. healthcare organization used Horizon Cloud to modernize its virtual desktop environment while improving the experience for clinicians and reducing the burden on IT. By automating software upgrades and extending the life of existing endpoint devices, the organization reduced hardware costs and freed IT resources, while clinicians gained more reliable access to critical applications and a better day-to-day experience. Omnissa to host Omnissa ONE 2026, where the future of end-user computing takes shape. Aug 26, 2026, 12:20 ET The annual event will highlight how organizations are shifting to an increasingly autonomous workspace and building trust in AI MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Aug. 26, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Omnissa, a leading digital work platform company, today announced that Omnissa ONE 2026, its flagship conference, will take place September 28-30 in Orlando, Florida. The global event will bring together the end-user computing (EUC) community, IT experts, and AI visionaries to explore how organizations can build more trust in digital work as it becomes increasingly autonomous. Attendees will get a first look at agentic innovations that transform how work gets done in the AI era, and the governance innovations that make that autonomy safe to scale. AI is changing how work gets done, creating real opportunities to modernize the digital workspace and improve employee experience, while also creating new blind spots faster than IT can manage them. And the risk is measurable and growing. According to the Omnissa State of Digital Workspace 2026 report, 75% of enterprise-managed devices, on average, had unsanctioned AI tools installed. At the same time, as workflows become more autonomous, organizations are asking how they can trust an AI agent enough to let it act alone and scale the work. Under the theme "Trust is built. Autonomy follows," the Omnissa ONE program will demonstrate how a unified approach to digital work is giving organizations better visibility and intelligence to close the shadow AI gap, trust autonomous workflows and realize the promised benefits of AI. Through customer stories, hands-on learning, and technical sessions, attendees will gain the practical knowledge they need to manage, secure, and govern digital work in their own organizations. "AI is already changing how people work, whether IT has sanctioned it or not," said Shankar Iyer, CEO of Omnissa. "The organizations that win will be the ones that give employees the autonomy to work with AI, backed by the visibility and control IT needs to trust it. At Omnissa ONE, we're showing customers exactly how to build a digital work foundation strong enough to use AI with confidence instead of hesitation." Whether attendees are looking to strengthen endpoint management and security, optimize virtual desktop investment, advance AI initiatives, or enhance digital employee experience, Omnissa ONE will offer opportunities to: * Hear real customer stories and practical use cases for autonomous workflows. * Learn from Omnissa leaders about product roadmaps and new capabilities in unified endpoint management, desktop-as-a-service (DaaS), VDI and app management, digital employee experience, and security and compliance. * Gain hands-on experience through instructor-led labs, certification training, and live product demonstrations. * Network with peers, partners, and industry experts to exchange ideas and explore what's next for EUC. The event will also feature a strong partner ecosystem, including participation from sponsors such as NVIDIA, Nutanix, Google, Amazon Web Services (AWS), IGEL, and Red Hat. At the Omnissa ONE expo, attendees can explore partner solutions and integrations that demonstrate the strength of the Omnissa platform's open ecosystem and the flexibility it provides across diverse infrastructure and endpoint environments. Omnissa rebrands VMware Horizon: what IT teams need to know. Following the Broadcom acquisition spin-off, Omnissa charts a new path for the popular Horizon VDI platform. Omnissa - the company formed from Broadcom's spin-off of VMware's End-User Computing division - has completed its rebranding of VMware Horizon to Omnissa Horizon, effective Q1 2026. The rebrand brings new licensing terms, a refreshed support portal, and an updated roadmap centered on AI-powered session management and unified endpoint management (UEM) integration. For existing VMware Horizon customers, the transition is largely transparent at the software level. However, support contracts, portal access credentials, and renewal pathways are now routed through Omnissa's new partner ecosystem rather than Broadcom's enterprise agreement structure. Organizations using Horizon through a Broadcom ELA should verify their entitlements directly with Omnissa by March 2026. The Omnissa Horizon 8 2503 release introduces adaptive graphics rendering that reduces GPU overhead in multi-session desktop pools by up to 22%, according to internal benchmark data. Compare Select is tracking this release for inclusion in its Q2 2026 VDI comparison report.
Omnissa named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Digital Employee Experience Management Tools. * Last updated 06/16/2026 Omnissa is proud to be named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner(R) Magic Quadrant(TM) for Digital Employee Experience (DEX) Management Tools for the second consecutive year. In addition to Magic Quadrant placement, Omnissa was also recognized in the Gartner Critical Capabilities for Digital Employee Experience Management Tools, ranking in the highest three across multiple DEX use cases. Omnissa, LLC feel these results highlight its ability to support a wide range of enterprise scenarios, with strength in areas such as IT support, endpoint experience, and automation. In its opinion, this recognition reinforces what customers, partners, and the market increasingly see: Omnissa delivers one of the most complete and scalable DEX solutions available today, helping organizations proactively improve productivity, reduce operational cost, and support every employee - across every device and workspace model. Why digital employee experience matters now more than ever. As uncovered in the Omnissa State of the Digital Workspace 2026 report, device fragmentation, shadow AI, and productivity gaps expose the need for organizations to invest in a holistic digital employee experience solution. Implementing end-to-end observability enables organizations to enable AI-ready organizations, making DEX a strategic priority. The Omnissa advantage. Omnissa delivers a powerful standalone DEX solution, Workspace ONE Experience Management - combining deep visibility across every endpoint and environment with AI-driven insights and automated remediation. And when organizations are ready to go further, that same DEX capability becomes part of a unified end-user computing platform. Omnissa is the only evaluated vendor positioned as a Leader across the Gartner Magic Quadrant(TM) for Endpoint Management Tools, the Gartner Magic Quadrant(TM) for Desktop as a Service, and the Gartner(R) Magic Quadrant(TM) for Digital Employee Experience Management Tools reports. - which Omnissa, LLC believe demonstrates its ability to support all major device types and operating systems at enterprise scale. This integrated approach allows IT teams to manage digital experience holistically, rather than stitching together disconnected point solutions. Strengths. Omnissa brings together advanced technology, operational maturity, and broad experience management capabilities to support modern digital work environments at scale. AI-driven experience management. Omnissa continues to expand its use of AI to help IT teams move from reactive troubleshooting to proactive and automated experience management. Key capabilities include: * AI/ML-based anomaly detection and intelligent baselining to surface meaningful experience changes * Guided root cause analysis paired with automated remediation to reduce time to resolution * Natural language workflows and contextual insights delivered through Omni, Omnissa's AI-powered assistant for IT administrators https://www.omnissa.com/products/omni/ Together, these capabilities support Omnissa's approach to building an autonomous workspace - designed to anticipate issues, optimize performance, and improve resilience across digital environments. From vision to execution - see Omnissa's AI-driven experience strategy in its latest keynote: Broad DEX coverage across experience domains. Omnissa addresses multiple dimensions of the digital employee experience, including: * Endpoint experience (desktop, mobile, server) * Virtualization experience * Workflows and automation * Application and unified communications experience By working alongside Unified Endpoint Management (UEM), VDI, ITSM tools, and collaboration technologies, Omnissa enables organizations to move from experience visibility to informed action within existing IT processes. Enterprise scale and global operations. Omnissa supports organizations across regions and industries, with the ability to operate at enterprise scale. Ongoing investments in global reach and partner enablement help customers adopt DEX as a foundational element of their digital workplace strategy. DEX in action. Organizations across retail and highly distributed frontline environments use Omnissa DEX to proactively improve reliability, reduce support overhead, and keep employees productive at scale. * ASDA, one of the UK's largest grocery retailers, used Omnissa Workspace ONE(R) and Omnissa Intelligence to support the migration and ongoing management of 55,000 devices across more than 600 locations. With real-time visibility, remote support, and automated workflows, ASDA improved device uptime, reduced downtime through proactive remediation, and extended device lifespan - enabling frontline teams to deliver faster, more reliable customer service at scale. * Hertz, a global mobility provider operating across 11,000 locations in 160 countries, standardized Omnissa Workspace ONE and Omnissa Intelligence to manage nearly 10,000 shared frontline devices. By improving device reliability, enabling remote troubleshooting, and gaining proactive insight into device health and performance, Hertz reduced IT help desk tickets by approximately 5% and achieved more than $100,000 in annual savings, while accelerating vehicle check-in and return processes and improving customer satisfaction. By connecting experience insights directly to action, Omnissa helps IT teams shift from reactive troubleshooting to proactive, experience-driven operations - delivering measurable impact for employees, IT, and the business. Looking ahead. Omnissa, LLC believe, being named a Leader for the second year in a row reflects ongoing momentum - but it does not mark an endpoint. Omnissa remains focused on expanding DEX innovation, deepening partner integrations, and helping organizations deliver exceptional digital experiences at scale.
