What believers are saying

- New NHS referrals reached 18,931 in FY26, showing stronger Patient Choice demand.
- Construction started on the £8m-£9m Scunthorpe hub, with completion targeted within one year.
What critics are saying
- NHS tariff pricing caps margins and one procurement shift hits every referral source.
- Spire, Circle, and Ramsay can outspend One Health on capacity and contracts.
- Scunthorpe delays or overruns would trap growth in rented facilities and weaken the model.
What makes OneHealth unique
- One Health Group owns NHS-funded surgical pathways via Patient Choice, not private self-pay demand.
- Its 88 consultants and 40 outreach clinics reach patients outside major hospital networks.
- The Scunthorpe surgical hub gives One Health owned capacity and tighter operating control.
