Onyx launches tool to help advisors keep track of payments. Aug 04, 2026 Onyx CenterSource has launched a new tool to help advisors keep track of where their commission payments are throughout the payment process. The Commission Payment Status Tool is part of Onyx's efforts to improve how advisors get paid with greater transparency and self-service capabilities, the company said. It is available to both its partner and non-Onyx member agencies as well as individual advisors. To use the tool, advisors visit Onyx's website and enter a few booking details. Then they can see what the payment's status is, Onyx said, including information on whether or not the funds have been received from the hotel. Once funds are received, Onyx can begin the payment process to the agency. Onyx said the tool was created based on feedback from the agency community. Tony Wagner, Onyx's chief commercial officer, noted that knowing a payment's status can be one of advisors' biggest frustrations. "Commission payments involve multiple parties and, until now, there hasn't been an easy way to see what's happening behind the scenes," he added. "This tool reflects our commitment to greater transparency and our belief that when advisors have the information they need, they can run their businesses with more confidence."
