Optimile

Optimile

CaaS platform linking CPOs and eMSPs

Overview

Optimile provides a cloud-based Charging-as-a-Service platform that lets businesses build and manage their own EV charging networks by connecting Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and eMobility Service Providers (eMSPs). The platform can be white-labeled or used through Mobiflow (an end-user app and charging card) and handles point management, billing, network access, and pricing, with API integrations and support for OCPP and OCPI. It differentiates itself by acting as the intermediary between CPOs and eMSPs, offering flexible branding, broad European charging access, and easy, plug-and-play integration for various deployment models. Its goal is to help customers quickly deploy scalable EV charging services across Europe with predictable billing and user access.

DKV Mobility acquires Optimile.

DKV Mobility acquires Optimile. German provider DKV Mobility has fully acquired Belgian e-mobility platform provider Optimile. In total, DKV Mobility now manages around 1.5 million charging cards and tokens as well as over 260,000 charging points. By Sebastian Schaal 05.05.2026 - 09:18 DKV Mobility has acquired the shares previously held by BNP Paribas Fortis and AG Insurance in Optimile, as announced by the company. The purchase price for Optimile has not been disclosed, as financial details of the transaction remain confidential. "For Optimile and its customers, the transaction ensures continuity while opening up additional growth opportunities," the statement reads. "The company gains access to expanded resources to accelerate the further development of its platform and strengthen its market position." Founded in 2016, Optimile operates a modular Software-as-a-Service platform for E-Mobility Service Providers and Charge Point Operators. The Ghent-based company has established itself as a 'leading player in the Belgian e-mobility market,' according to DKV Mobility. Optimile's services include authorisation, monitoring, access management, and pan-European roaming for charging points. Additionally, the company is active in the end-customer business under the Mobiflow brand. However, DKV Mobility's acquisition primarily targets Optimile's platform business rather than its end-customer offering. "E-mobility is a key growth driver for DKV Mobility," said Sebastian Klauke, CEO of DKV Mobility. "By expanding our technology and service capabilities through Optimile, we significantly strengthen our platform strategy and our ability to deliver integrated, end-to-end e-mobility solutions that reduce complexity for our customers across the entire value chain." Sven Mehringer, Managing Director at DKV Mobility and responsible for Energy & Vehicle Services, outlined plans to continue Optimile's growth trajectory under its new ownership and to further develop the platform in a targeted manner. "Belgium is one of Europe's strongest and fastest-growing eMobility markets, making it an ideal environment for growth and innovation," said Mehringer. "Optimile has emerged as a fast-growing leader at the heart of this dynamic market, with deep software expertise in the e-mobility space. Its clear mission to enable intelligent, sustainable, and user-friendly electric mobility is an excellent fit with its strategy and its purpose Indeed, Belgium ranks among the largest electric vehicle markets in the EU. In the latest ACEA statistics for the first quarter, Belgium (despite a slight year-on-year decline) recorded 39,469 new battery-electric cars - significantly behind Germany and France, both of which have six-figure figures, but ahead of markets such as Italy (38,084), Denmark (34,970), and Spain (27,226). Belgium has achieved these sales figures thanks to targeted incentives, particularly in the company car sector, where DKV Mobility primarily serves its customers. The German mobility service provider's roaming network now provides access to over 1.1 million charging points across Europe, a milestone reached last year. Including Optimile, DKV Mobility manages around 1.5 million charging cards and tokens, as well as over 260,000 charging points, of which 112,000 are publicly accessible. 0 comments. about "DKV Mobility acquires Optimile" Your email address will not be published.
