Orrick continues Structured Finance buildout with New York hire.

Orrick continues Structured Finance buildout with New York hire. Monday, August 17, 2026 Orrick announced today the strategic addition of Steven "Steve" Lozner as a partner in the firm's Structured Finance team in New York. Joining from DLA Piper, Lozner brings years of highly specialized legal experience and a top-tier educational background to his focus on collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), leveraged loan warehouse facilities, and complex asset-backed securitizations (ABS). Lozner's recruitment reflects Orrick's aggressive strategy of acquiring market-leading talent with the extensive years of practice experience necessary to handle high-stakes financial matters. In his practice, he leverages his deep industry knowledge to represent investment banks, financial institutions, issuers, collateral managers, and institutional investors. "We're thrilled with the caliber of talent that has joined our Structured Finance team, doubling in scale over the past 10 months and creating an unmatched platform to help our clients innovate across asset classes and at the intersection with private credit," said Leah Sanzari, Orrick's Global Structured Finance Group Leader. "Steve adds another high-quality practitioner as we meet demand from our clients and support them in executing on their dealflow." Lozner's addition is a key milestone in Orrick's rapid expansion. The firm has more than doubled the size of its Structured Finance team since October 2025, growing from 49 to 102 lawyers, including 35 partners. This strategic growth includes the addition of a 40-lawyer transatlantic CLO and asset-backed lending team last fall, two asset-backed securitization partners in London in May, and four additional partners across the U.S. and London in June. In total, the firm has added 16 partners and 55 lawyers across all levels of experience. "Orrick's commitment to structured finance is unsurpassed, and I am excited to collaborate with the world-class team they have attracted," said Lozner. Orrick is Chambers Band 1 ranked across five different areas of structured finance. Underscoring the firm's unparalleled market experience, Orrick was ranked the No. 2 CLO arranger counsel for H1 2026 - both globally and for the U.S. and Europe (Creditflux) - and ranked No. 1 as U.S. private credit arranger counsel and mid-market counsel.
