P-1 AI creates Archie, an AI agent that acts as a cognitive automation tool for engineering teams, interpreting design requirements, proposing product concepts, performing initial design trade-offs, and selecting appropriate tools for detailed analysis. Archie works like a junior engineer that operates before CAD or simulation software, handling the cognitive tasks that precede detailed design. It is trained on large-scale physics-based synthetic design datasets, including supply chain information, to develop quantitative and spatial reasoning. The company differentiates itself through leadership with deep aerospace and industrial engineering experience, a focus on augmenting existing tools rather than replacing them, and a data strategy built around synthetic data for physical systems, with a goal of integrating Archie into engineering teams to improve productivity across diverse industries.

Goodwin advises P-1 AI on its $50 million Series A financing. Professionals The Technology team advised P-1 AI on the initial closing of its Series A financing round led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA). The Series A, on the heels of the company's $23 million Seed round led by Radical Ventures in 2025, reflects strong product execution and commercial traction. The $50 million financing round will accelerate P-1 AI's deployment of Archie, an agentic AI engineer. P-1 AI is building an AI engineer for the physical world. The company's aim is to put an AI engineer on every engineering team at every industrial company on earth. P-1 AI's Archie is built for hardware engineering disciplines including mechanical, electrical, thermal, fluids, and systems design, across data center, automotive, and aerospace and defense industrial customers.
P-1 AI has closed a $50 million Series A funding round led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA). The San Mateo-based startup builds Archie, an AI engineer designed for hardware engineering disciplines including mechanical, electrical, thermal, fluids, and systems design. The round follows P-1 AI's $23 million seed round led by Radical Ventures in 2025. The capital will expand the company's product and deployment teams and increase compute capacity for training custom models. Former General Electric chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt joins the board of directors, whilst NEA partner Lila Tretikov, previously Microsoft's deputy CTO, becomes a board observer. P-1 AI has established design partnerships with industrial firms in data centre cooling and critical power systems. The company is also launching Archie Solo, a lightweight version for individual users.
P-1 AI has emerged from stealth with $23 million in seed funding and "a mission to solve engineering AGI," according to co-founder Aleksa Gordić.
P-1 AI, a startup that has been operating in stealth mode, announced on Monday that it has raised $23 million, led by Radical Ventures.
